The Squadrons

One of the things I love about the Jejune experience is the opportunity for creativity it offers. The mix tapes are a very obvious example of that, but not the only one. For example, I've been having a blast with the Elsewhere Philatelic Society, and I hope the recipients of the cards and letters I've sent out have enjoyed them. (A couple of you have written back-- thanks for doing so!)

I have a strong suspicion that the squadrons have been created for more than just creating mix tapes. If I've picked up anything along the Jejune journey, it is that the creators seem to encourage autonomy. I think it's time we take some initiative and start doing… something. Squadron v. Squadron competitions? Joint efforts? Individual squadrons creating something for the rest of us, a la the Albany Bulb adventure on one of the mix tapes (Egg Slap?) Speaking of which-- there is talk of heading out there this week. I love that place, and am always down to head that way. If anyone is going out there, count me in.

Anyway, to sum up: now that we have teams, as it were, I think it's time we start doing something with them. I've already got the team I'm in (Crossbones) hard at work creating something pretty fabulous. More details as events warrant. In the meantime, if anyone wants to combine efforts, or suggest anything, please do so.

Squad.

I'm good for Egg Slap! Adventure any day but today, it seems. I was thinking Sat/Sun.
