[OT] [META] What to call ourselves?
Thread to discuss names for us as Flynn Lives ARG players

So, there's been a bunch of DIY schwag ideas, so I thought I'd start a topic to throw some suggestions about what we should call ourselves. Maybe some moderator can start a poll after we get a good list?

Here are a few of my suggestions:
- Programs
- Conscripts
- Inoperative Data Pushers
- Null Units
- Video Warriors
- Grid Bugs
- (Collectively) The Reindeer Flotilla

Thoughts?

If we are a group of people running around looking for Flynn, is 'Recognizer' too obvious of a choice...?

I rather like Grid Bugs. It seems the most self-effacing.

Was gonna suggest Bit-Heads, but I like Grid Bugs better.

Debuggers?

Just to throw them out there...

STOMPERs

CLUs
Flynn's ARGaids

Is anyone familiar enough with Evolution to suggest from that?

I like Video Warriors. Somehow I think we'll come up with something else though. Flynn Lives is calling us their 'operatives'. That'd make us Flynn Lives Ops. Could shorten that to...
FLOps
Cool

Wet blanket time: do we need a collective name? I say no, it's a silly idea.

No, it's definitely not necessary, but hey, I don't see any problem with it. After all, those who played The Beast called themselves Cloudmakers.

I'm fairly fond of Recognizers out of the suggestions that have been brought to the table.

The reason I'm asking is that Robbie & I are working on some custom schwag, and it'd be nice to tag it identifying us as players (and a shout out to Unfiction).

I'm leaning towards gridbugs because a) it's gotten the most responses, b) it has an odd conection (being a minor part of the movie but a major part of the arcade game...kinda like we'll hopefully be in the next movie), and c) bugs are things that can cause problems in programs, and that seems to be our job...bugs in Encom's system.

Anyway, still open to discussion, but Robbie & I will share our stuff in the next week or two when I get some prototypes.

"This isn't going to be easy. If those gridbugs get us, we've had it." - Yori to Tron and Flynn as they fly over a group of gridbugs in a Solar Sailer
