Possibly. However voxstat has tweeted since then, so that may warrant its own thread or conversion of this one.

Well that's saddening. I know I bitched a little about it not making very much sense, but I was rather enjoying following it (from the beginning for change)
Well Jessica if you are reading, I enjoyed the video very much and while it saddens me that this won't turn into what we all wanted, I appreciate the explanation (a well written explanation I might add)
If perchance a voxstat thread is created I will definitely follow.

For completeness, here is the table for substituting letters into the code from voxstat's homepage:
Code:
1 2 3 4
I A B C D
II E F G H
III I J K L
IV M N O P
V Q R S T
VI U V W X
VII Y Z

Uh, remember that TINAF form page to enter a contest?
Well, today I received an envelope in the mail.
The return address is my same address. Actually surprised how it got to me because they didn't put my apartment number. For now, I will not say the zip code from which it's postmarked because I don't know if it's relevant. "Stamp" is computer generated (from the Post Office itself; not Stamps.com), and postage was $1.05.
I don't have scanning or photo equipment right now, so I'll see how I post pics later.
Since I don't know what I should or should not reveal otherwise, here are the entire contents:
1)
Letter from "Pathological Truth"
Quote:
Dear So and So,
Congratulations on winning this contest. The grand prize is no longer available but I hope you will be proud of your achievement. I am proud of your achievement too. As proof of my sincerity I have included a prize at random. Please find said randomness enclosed.
I thank you for all your hard work and clicking of links. I hope it was fun and informative. Or at least that it got you out of some work.
Sincerely
JMS
The JMS is in red pen.
At the bottom of the letter, handwritten in blue:
Quote:
Please find enclosed (2) buttons. Pathological Truth is mine. You'll soon find out that other things aren't mine. I'm just the person talking for the moment. You were the 1st person to enter from a group, so if I'm off in my assessment I apologize
2) An otherwise generic "Certificate of Recognition"; looks like the stock certificates you can buy in any office supply store. It's in my name, for "Being a winner of a contest I made up". Dated June 1st, 2010, signed by Jessica S.
3) A small plastic baggie containing two buttons: one brown, one transparent.
So... Uh... Yay?

Maybe the code Mr Toasty discovered has something to do with how we are supposed to communicate with Voxstat. In Hallucinine you had to communicate with Uno using numbers that substituted for letters too (but way less complicated than the table above.)
Cool prize Nighthawk. I'd love to see pics of the buttons when you have time to post them.

Apparently I have a similar envelope waiting for me at home. I'll post the contents later.

I also got one. My prize was a piece of cardboard with a candle painted on it.

As did I -- I got a gardening book (The Best Gardening Ideas I Know, by Robert Rodale) with three-letters of Hebrew written on each page, along with a three digit number (the numbers, by the way, don't work as a Beale cipher).
[[Example: inside cover has 300 and "marah", next page has 299 and "maal", 298 and a word with some but not all vowels that looks like man?? (nun then ayin), then 296 and "machah."]]
Much as it pains me to say this, I don't think I have the time to photograph/transcribe 65 hebrew word/number pairs.

I got one of the keys featured in the "I never asked" photo. Sorry that I didn't post it earlier, I thought it was part of the "this is really really really not a game" brujah.
Also a handwritten blurb saying something about how she had a splitting headache which is why her handwriting was bad.

I received DVD #30 today. Completely forgot I ordered it until now!
I don't think there's anything special about it, but I'm going to go pop it in now.

Ok sorry my quotation marks above came out all wrong. But I imagine it is still understandable.
Also another character like Proffitt appeared on Art Pathological's page called World Travelling Steve Wilson earlier this week. (He has five friends which hasn't changed since he appeared.)
The link is to a bunch of letters WTSW has written but they don't make much sense since his reason for his travelling to AZ changes from letter to letter, etc etc. The one thing though that remains constant throughout is he repeatedly mentions where he lives: Selden NY (off Middle Country Road, right by the Taco Bell.)
Since several of you have received keys, my guess was that perhaps there is a post office there with mailboxes??

I tweeted "one what, voxtstat" back but have not gotten a reply yet (it was my first tweet though so perhaps I did it wrong.)
I seem to remember things kept happening on Tuesdays so perhaps something new will appear this Tuesday.
