What skills would the most novice Puppet master need?

a willingness to give up your life for months at a time to help make a game.


PMs can have any type of experience as all types of things are needed for an ARG. Note: generally you should have several PMs just because of the amopunt of backbreaking labor involved in getting one up and running. You don't need any particular experience as there are needs for people to spend time chatting, people who are good at making websites, people who are good with video or sound recording, people who have experience with life, people who are good at trouble shooting, people who have ideas....

This list is not everything that is needed, but I think you get an idea.

From most of the comments that I have read about this, it seems the most important part above all else, is the ability to tell a good story.
There have been several very short and rather simple games that were enjoyed very much without having all the fancy bells and whistles.
You can read back through some of the older posts on this thread to find ALOT of questions and answers about what players like and don't like. There are many very useful posts on this topic.
