train

It is unlikely that you would ever find public information on a train that crashed coming from Area 51, considering the Air Force had and still has their own locomotives. They would not risk leaked information by enlisting a commercial freight company to haul the load.

If this crash did really happen, we will never know, especially if the train was carrying alien bodies, lol.

Is This The Same Trainwreck

http://conspiracy.wikia.com/wiki/Alliance,_Ohio_Train_Wreck_of_1979

On the second article image of the four images at the bottom, I like the way the last paragraph of the article mentions the "amateur cameramen" popping up throughout the crowd.

Bruli Connections

Okay, I'm really new at all this, so I'm very sorry if I break protocol...let me know if I do, I'm a quick learner, I swear!

Basically, I popped on the whole Bruli Pantry Garden thing. While a Google Search doesn't turn up anything with that exactly, just "bruli" got several hits. Only 2 sites seemed of any interest to me. I'll just post the links, and you all can eat me alive for wasting good forum space later...

An as-yet inactive blog by a young couple:
http://bruli.us/

A legit-looking rental property company:
http://www.bruliproperties.com/

The one thing that really intrigued me was that the wiktionary translated "bruli" as "burns" in...Esperanto. It may be stupid and useless, but I'm trying to learn the language. I can't figure how burning might play in, but there you go.

Bruli Sidenote

Okay, again, sorry for being a tool (probably) Embarassed , but I just found out that the rental properties page has only been active since April of this year, and the "Vanessa" listed on the young couple's blog seems to be the same person...which means this is probably a big steaming pile of moo-poo. Whatever - smarter, more experienced minds can decide. Rolling Eyes

I am sorry but I have no idea where you get Bruli in a Train derailment thread?

Where you intending to post here? http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29538&start=375

It's the only "Bruli" I found in the forums. Try to keep your replys in the same thread.

Most likely 1979 Alliance derailment
Super 8 takeoff

Most likely the story evolved from the 1979 derailment of a Conrail freight train in Alliance, Ohio was said to have happened on September 12th at 4:30 AM. At the time, conspiracy theorists were shouting foul as it was said to carry food perishables, lumber, etc but the cleanup costs was in the millions and the National Guard was a heavy presence on the wreckage site.

I was about the age of the kids in the movie at the time of it, and remember it was huge on the news.

I lived in Oxford when that derailment happened in the summer of 1979. I was about 7 years old, and to this day I've never seen such destruction. Railroad cars were turned on end, and others were literally wrapped around each other. Roads were torn up like they were paper. They had police lines set up and didn't let anyone close, and my mom remembers that the military was there which she thought odd at the time. In the week after the derailment there were a ton of fires around town including a building in downtown, an antique store barn, and several house fires. My family moved away from Oxford about two weeks after the derailment.

A couple years ago I tried to Google it and couldn't even find mention of the derailment in any papers or anything online. Now with Super 8 out, people are talking about it.

But yes, it really happened, I saw it, and it was the summer of 1979. To my knowledge there were no aliens hopping around eating people though Very Happy

Grew up in Oxford, and was driving through right after this happened...big mess. Here are some photos from the local paper at the time:

1979 train derailment in Oxford, Ohio

I was sitting at the railroad crossing when that train derailed. I'm looking for photos of it. I know there was one in the Oxford Press
