When I first heard the clip you are talking about, I was sure that I had heard that sound before somewhere, but I couldn't think where. Seems to me like it's probably just a robotic/computer sound pulled from a sound effects cd, so I'll have a look through my own sound effects cd's when I get home on Friday to see if that's where I have heard it.

Not telling you to stop looking, just don't get your hopes up...

Jetpack

Just bumping this up, cos it may have been forgotten in the excitement of the past couple of days, and it would be quite nice to confirm one way or the other if there was anything in the bit mentiong.

Also to bring to your attention this thread which talks about other Durga wav files, where there are weird sounds in the background. If you want to discuss those though, that would be the place to do it, rather than here.

- Malrog the informative one.

Durga Noises

I slowed it down substantially and raised the pitch at the end so that it would be easier to understand...

...and got what sounds like a *very* distorted human voice and lots of Star Wars-style robot sounds.

If there is anything of meaning there, it will take greater skill than mine to extract it (which isn't saying much, as I'm not particularly experienced at audio editing -- I just play with my Audacity program to put effects on CDs I make for people).

I've tried to attach it here -- I've never attached anything before in this forum, so I hope it works.

NO LAUGHING AT MY PATHETIC EDITING SKILLS.

If this is redundant, my apologies.

Again, I'm not sure there's anything there.
