That gives me the chills. I agree with Headman though, I highly doubt they would base our crash after a real one. Then again it is JJ. And SS.

That IS a pretty creepy coincidence. Nice work, Dark! Very un-trouty.

Do we have a sirloin steak emoticon for really meaty contributions? Smile

Nice find. I wish there was a bit more info though, it says freight train, rather than USAF train carrying an alien creature. Laughing

Ah, the days when Bugs Bunny and Spider-Man were still comics in the newspaper... Smile

All. Just an Alternate Reality Check here..

I really dont think we are looking for an actual train crash hit by a truck from 1979. The crash in the trailer is scripted.. not factual..Created for the story only..
Kinda like looking for reports of UFO's over Illinois/Indiana during the time CEOTTK was being filmed..

I doubt this is based on an actual USAF train wreck in Ohio in 1979.

I agree also. I think this is just a coincidence.

At the very least, it brings real world history and ARG backstory a little closer together, which is always fun!

Agreed it may not weigh heavily in the film or the game, but it's a damn nice find out there on the interwebs.

Btw, Euchre: what's the policy or possibility of creating a new emoticon? Just curious. Is this a forum-specific thing or a service provided by pbpBB at large?

In this article it says there weren't flashers and gates. There clearly are in the trailer.
