 		I think that that info that says they like to control species with himewoirlds with forerunner tech in it is very important.

I think that the reason they dont want to ally with us, just kill us, is because maybe we somehow desecrated some of the FR technology, where as the other species (grunts, hunters, hjackals) didnt worship the forerunners, they didnt pee on their monumants (if you catch my drift). Think about some stuff we have on this planet. Some natural landforms or some type of utherworldly struvture. Maybe Stone Henge???

 		I was going to write a big post about timeframe, but FauxHammer beat me too it a few days ago. (Talk about a day late, a buck short ...) Here it is:

This is basically the same thing I was thinking, that this is taking place between 2530 and 2535. With Harmony.wav confirming that these events are taking place during the Covenant War, I think this theory makes pretty good sense.

This would mean that the current events are taking place during the Outer Colony Massacre. The only thing we need to know to "confirm" this is the location of Troy, so hopefully one of the new axons will give us a hint about that.

Anyway, don't know where this gets us, but since we were talking about it I thought I'd throw it out there.

So, now we know that the Halo 2 promotional story occurs after Halo 1 and before Halo 2...

I think someone might have figured that out already...

I think it's because we don't have brightly colored skin. That seems to be thier common trait.

To them, we probably look like we've got dirt on us all the time.

edit: scratch that, it's prolly cause they realize we'd never join them. In our TV transmissions, many a lone rebel has spat in the face of a superiorly armed foe and said "I'll never join you!"
