I tried a new angle. Since we got the words "scariest thing i ever saw" and decided to plug them in as a website and got to something, I thought, "Hey, maybe that letter is something like a website". So i tried plugging it in with the periods, nothing, but then it occurred to me that maybe we should try plugging multiple things in as websites, like the notes, or the pitches or whatever.

one more thing, who is to say that that message was meant for us. Maybe that message is meant for some one else posting publicly. Can we try and find a person that was posting information about A51 publicly during the late 70's?

good theory, but we already have a bunch of leads on people who openly talked about Area 51. a la Phil Schneider and Dan Morris.

Right, so here is my logic. The person on the system that put the print out option up was most likely not Dan Morris since he is the admin on the system and the one posting publicly (presumably). If this is true, then who else would have had access to this system? Who was in/near/worked with Dan Morris that may have also come out eventually?

Lastly, have we applied the golden ratio to any of our existing artifacts. By this I mean have taken the articles and adjusted things by the ration and looked for patterns, have we taken the message print out and arranged that with the golden ration. Often times a cipher or code needs to be reinserted back into earlier artifacts and a second message is present.

that's a great idea! can't believe that I didn't think of that! Maybe we can use the Golden Ratio as an Ottendorf Cipher and use it to decode some of the documents!

Dunno if you guys have this already, but...

I put the audio file up on audacity and i changed the view to pitch. It looked like notes found on sheet music, so i place it over some blank sheet music and this is the result

It looks like something link would play on his Ocarina lol.

I only know the C major scale and that would be

G,B,G,C,F,A,A,C

Dunno what to make of that.

Online Piano

If you'd like to try and play these notes yourself, here's an online piano/organ with the notes on the keys:

Anyone checked to see if the notes correspond to a page URL at the movies website?

You typed 82 characters (with spaces) to ask if someone else could type 8 characters after a URL you probably have bookmarked. I'm not seeing the logic here.

Just want to let the new folk know that all the sharing of ideas is wonderful, but it's much more helpful if you TRY your ideas first, then you can post what doesn't work so someone else doesn't have to do the same thing. Much more polite (and efficient) than asking someone else to do it.

P.S. Clever signature, and probably true within the context of our limited comprehension.

P.P.S http://1.6180339.com/ is not what we're looking for, odd that it's actually a web site though. And it seems to have nothing to do with the golden ratio.

Touché. Wink

(Admittedly, sometimes I'm hurting for time and throw out quick msgs. Others, I'm plain lazy and find it easier to throw ideas out poised as questions. It's inexcusable under any circumstance. Thx for calling me out on it.)

OK, my curiosity is peaked. What does SAGODNE mean? I assume GOD in the middle of something but can't quite figure out it's meaning. Google was of no help on the subject.

The former, but either way works.

So there don't seem to be any hidden subfolders in scariestthingieversaw.com easily related to the notes or their numerical equivalents of the sound file.
Tried /gbgcfaac and /16180339 (also tried /1.6180339 and /1/6180339) with negative results.
Nor is there a website associated with gbgcfaac.com or 16180339.com. Although as mentioned there is one for 1.6180339.com (definitely out of game).

I think the sound file is meant to represent a signal from an alien source identifying a universal number which would be recognized by a civilization of sufficient technology. The background static indicating a probable extrasolar source.

'Course I am a lazy mo-fo. Wink
