I just got a random text message from a number I have never seen before.

I really doubt it, but did anyone else get it/is it flynn lives related?

I texted back and got nothing.

There's a few of us here that have the phone. If something happens, we will ALL know... like what happened with the recharge. And no, I didn't get that text.

What's going on with the site? A meet-up? Did I miss something?

You mean the one from Wondercon?

They sent all of us to a special sneak screening for the entire "Tron: Legacy" movie! You didn't get to go?

Nevermind. It was something with the site, it showed some sort of old homepage with a countdown. I checked back a hour later, it was normal

If I had to take a guess, it said something about 1st and J (I think it was J)? That'd be the ollllllld Comic-Con 09 meetup page.

The Tron Facebook page was updated today with more info about Comic-Con. They'll be holding a panel with Kosinski, Hedlund and everybody's favorite Bridges. Surprised nobody else posted anything about this.

Well, technically, it's information about the movie, marketing, and merchandising... and doesn't have anything to do with the ARG itself. Although it might be good to establish a catchall SDCC 2010 thread, we currently don't know anything about any potential Flynn Lives events in San Diego... let alone if there will be ANY events at all (true, it seems to be the perfect place to run something, but you never know...).

If they didn't run something there, I would be very surprised.

Thread established with the Disney press-release posted.

I'd be really impressed if they did a distributed event centered around ComiCon, so we would have to do something in our given major cities to facilitate what would happen at ComiCon. If I can't be there, at least what I do here can make something happen there, right?

Given that it's been a little over a month since the last update, I would think that there would be something new coming up soon.

In general, how far before a major event do they start hinting at it? Three weeks before, the vague references start, two weeks before, they give some meaningful information, one week before, they confirm that something will happen... then it's full speed ahead?

What was the timeline like for SDCC '09 Flynn's Arcade, and the Wondercon Press Conference?
