Sorry if this has been suggested, but could these be perhaps space coordinates as to identify where an object is coming from?

I'm not sure there's even a way to do this, but has anybody tried to send the sound file through a fax machine?

I tested it with Multimode for osx last week and nothing came out on fax settings.

Coordinates

PSF2010... The same premise was used by Ron Moore for Battlestar Galactica with the song "All Along the Watchtower". However, I'm not sure spatial coordinates require 8 points of reference.

From Galacticawiki:
Quote:
The jump coordinates that Kara Thrace deduces from the music, 1123,6536,5321. If treated as the notes of a Phrygian mode scale, with "1" representing the root note, a tune is played identical to that which is heard as Thrace keys in the jump coordinates.
# The first four numbers of Kara Thrace's jump coordinates -- 1, 1, 2, 3 -- are the first four numbers of the most common Fibonacci Sequence (starting with 1, 1), where each number is the the sum of the previous two. The last four numbers in reverse -- 1, 2, 3, 5 -- are the start of another Fibonacci Sequence (starting with 1, 2).

Sounds - Hex Editor

When I opened the "sound 89 (over to down ).mp3" in a hex editor, there really wasn't much info except for an ID3 tag at the top, which had the same codes in it. I don't know what that means right away.

When I opened the other file ("sound 3.mp3"), it had a LOT more information in it. I don't know if this means that there's hidden information in the file...

I'm going to need more coffee before digging into these much more, but in the mean time you guys can have at it.

I was at the Movie website and click on hide video. You get the 8mm camera lens and the red letters that are running bye seem to have changed. i am not sure because I cannot slow it down. But there is the Letter K in it twice.

I think you're right, it does somehow look different but it's whipping by way too fast to tell if it's actually changed. Anyone able to capture it?

The red letters on the website are different than the ones on the actual trailer.
The site letters just say "TITLE: DATE: processed by Kodak" or something.

Has this tag changed since the release?

Can someone check it out who can slow it down to read it?

The letters on the site are actually a slide show of 31 JPG's.

These are named super8_00009.jpg - super8_00039.jpg.

All of them (I just did another site rip) have a modified date of Thursday, ‎May ‎13, ‎2010, ‏‎1:16:00 PM.

It doesn't look like any of them have been changed. I have the images ready to be uploaded if needed, but I have a feeling that they're already here somewhere and I don't want to catch a trout.

Ok so what are the opinions on this golden ratio thing?

Is this just a stand alone clue that doesn't lead anywhere (like the "stop posting publicly" phrase) or is there something we're still missing?

explanation for the strange nature of the 8th note?

I kept thinking about that strange "wobble" of the 8th note since we got the file. It just doesn't fit into the series. I'm not talking about the 9th peak (the fade out) but the actual 8th note.
My first judging of it (on page 7 of this thread) was that it was the 10th step from the main-note. I came to think that I was kind of right with that.
Thesis: As a mathematician you would round the last digit of a number if you weren't to write all of its digits down. Hence you would write down Phi as 1.61803310 instead of 9 at the end. Because you would round up because the number behind the 9 is another 9. I'm not a mathematician so please correct me if I'm wrong here.
Some people stated that there is a pitch bend going on at that 8th note. I think the opposite is the case. Listen carefully and you'll notice it's a slide-down. It starts on the 10th step and then slides down to the 9th. You can even see that on thebruce's green frequency analysis on page 21. So, again 161803310 but with a "wobble"/slide-down at the end towards the 9.
When I take these thoughts into consideration and add them to a second thesis being "There is nothing wrong with this recording. This is exactly what we got" (we, the scientists or military or whoever) I have to ask myself "what mind would produce such a strange ending to this message?" (8th note and "9th noise") Can you follow me? Smile It's kinda hard to express my thoughts in english here.
So, what mind? A very mathematical mind. And a mind that came to a conflict in the end. Should it end with a 10 or a 9. It couldn't decide hence it produced the "wobble".
And now the "grand thesis": It was an artificial intelligence. It got into a conflict by the 10/9 dilemma and thus the strange very last 9th noise which is the noise of it "hanging up". Or what is that term in english when a software gets into conflict and freezes?
I know this is far fetched and totally based on theories. What do you think?

New(?) Audio File

I did a search for the file name and didn't come up with any results so I figured I go ahead and post.

After my latest site rip from http://www.super8-movie.com, I came across an audio file in the Video folder. It appears to just be the sound of a projector or a super-8 camera while filming.

It's the sound you hear when you first go to the site before the video starts loading. I didn't think too much of it, except that it's kind of long (almost 42sec) and once the video starts, you don't hear it anymore.
