I think we should hold an event in Aubrey Plaza... er... I mean...
I think I should...
Oh, forget it.

I think she's pretty damn funny.
And, also, more importantly, BAZINGA.

Re: Sally Forth from 6/18 and Rocket Pops question
Hey, Vincent!
First, thank you for reading the trip! Second, you're not wasting my time at all.
As per your question, while I'm indeed a fan of J.J. Abrams (and love the "Super 8" teaser) I had no previous knowledge about the alternative reality game. I just really liked Rocket Pops as a kid. They say "childhood summer" to me.
Thanks for writing! Hope all is well.

Whoa! Thanks for the feedback!
I bet Francesco is filling out his coupon as I type this!
Let's twitter back to Aubrey Plaza with the link: http://unfiction.com/wemustparty and see if she responds!

A bit more Twitter friendly link:
http://ufrl.net/super8
Most browsers can handle it without the prefix, but I haven't checked lately if Twitter can.

Of course now that he is aware of the ARG any further mention of Rocket Pops would truly have a dual meaning... As well as being a kind of shout out to us! But I'm not gonna hold my breath. ~sigh~

So I guess that answers "Why Rocket Pops now?" Because it's summer, and they're a generically common frozen treat predating SUPER 8 viral by decades.

"Summer" does not begin until June 21st!
Maybe for kids it starts after the last day of school.
And I might be a little picky here.
I might have lost my 1 point, but VanGoghX still holds the lead (by far) in this thread, with his finding of "Celebrity Viral Followers."
C'mon guys!
We still got a YEAR to go, and viral moves slowly ...
Any more celebs?
Gotta kill some time here.

I edited the opening post to reflect "Reality."
(Mostly for any newcomers)

Yeah, but due to your post and my email he is at least now aware of the game. You could say that your actions have made a celebrity aware of the game! I say for that you get to retain your point. Surely if we go out of our way and can get celebrities to acknowledge that "Hey, didn't know about it before. But now I do!" it's gotta be worth something. Just saying!

The astronomical definition of summer starts when the sun achieves the high solstice in your hemisphere. The human and general meteorological definition is more like the first day you sweat your ass off just going outside.
Or something.
I've always found the astronomical definition of seasons to be pretty stupid and useless. Its basically defining a trend once its halfway over. Bit like telling people its going to be rainy when they are in the middle of a hurricane.
Maybe if we can get more celebrities involved in the viral, they'll bug JJ to get it moving faster.
