Axon Hunt

I tried to get out to the axon yesterday…
13:00 - Get a message from CCSN that I need to drop off a copy of my license on the north side of town.
13:02 – I call back ask if I can just fax over the copy of my license, they say no.
13:02:30 – I ask "What if I don't drive up there and give you the copy of my license? I have something to do at 16:19, 16:45, 17:15, and 17:27."
13:02: 40- They respond "You will have to pay $2,214 in extra fees"
13:02:50 – I weep openly
13:14 – I speak to my boss and I am told that I can take off a little bit early to drop of the paper work I ask " Can I take off around three because I have something to do at 16:19, 16:45, 17:15, and 17:27"
13:15:00- She is "As long as you get all those forms done you may leave at three"
13:17- Log off internet so not to wooed by various distractions.
13:20- check email see friends movie is online…
13:20:30– 13:23:40 I watch www.clownana.com. Hilarity ensues
13:33- Stop fooling around get back to work.
14:00- Realize that I spend way too much screwing around on company time and I shouldn't play on the net when I am at work.
14:01 Check out www.ilovebees.com for updates.
14:15 I get back to work, delete favorites list, and log off the internet.
15:01 I finish my work and get into the car and head north on the 15.
15:02 Stuck in traffic
15:15 Stuck in traffic
15:20 Get off 15 head east on Trop then north on Pecos
15:32 Pass Flamingo realize I won't get back for 16:19 Cursing BUT as long as all I have to do is drop off the copy of my license I should make it back for 16:45. I mean how hard can it be to go to a government building at the end of their business day and drop off one piece of paper?
15:54 Cutting it close… Oh well at least I will be there for 17:15 and 17:27
15:59 Get in line where it says "Residency" the 'department' that call me earlier.
16:05 After she gets off the phone with her sister in Tucson the *nice* lady behind the counter says I need to see a consular.
16:06 In-line for a consular
16:13 After they stop talking about how stupid Jeanette's hair is I am told the wait is approx. 1-1 ½ hours
16:14 I weep openly
16:15 Her supervisor tells me I need to go to "registration" and they can help me out there.
16:16 On-line at registration
16:23 After he stops discussing the "weirdo" that was crying in the counseling office he tells me that I need to fill out a form I filled out 3 months ago.. again
16:23:30 I ask for a pen
16:24 I ask a person next to me "Do you have a pen?"
16:25 " " " " " "
16:27 " " " " " "
16:29 " " " " " "
16:32 I buy a package of pens.
16:39 Form is filled out and I am on line at "Registration"
16:46 After they are talking about the "freak" who was weeping at the bookstore cause the cheapest package of pens was $3. The supervisor asks me why I filled out the form again. I explain to her that "I was told that I had to or you wouldn't take my license" She replies "Really? Because all you should have done is drop off the copy of your license at the Green Valley office that is 5 minutes from your house or you could have just faxed in the copy of your license"
16:47 I leave
16:49 Over hear the security guards running to the registration desk because some "crazy" man has just thrown a brand new $3 bag full of pens at the "Registration" counter.
16:51 Exit CCSN and heading toward the freeway. I think "Traffic can't be that bad… I mean it's not 5pm yet..."
16:54 Hop on the freeway 15 south clear sailing as far as the eye can see
16:56 I hit traffic
16:59 Bang Head
17:04 Moving …
17:05 "I can still hop over to the Barbary Coast and check the phones in the lobby…"
17:07 Censored
17:10 "If I valet my car I can still hop over to the Barbary Coast and check the phones in the lobby…
17:11 If I jump out my car –tuck and roll- I can still hop over to the Barbary Coast and check the phones in the lobby…
17:13 If I jump out my car and as long as I don't break both my arms when I land I can still hop over to the Barbary Coast and check the phones in the lobby…
17:14 If I jump out of my car break both my arms I could ask someone in the lobby to pick the phone and say "Apocolypso" I mean wouldn't you help someone with two broken arms?
17:16 What if I hit my head when I landed? I will write down on my shirt "Don't help me go to the lobby pick up the ringing phone and say 'Apocolypso' when prompted" Okay good plan. Now where are those pens I bought….crap
17:23 What if I ram my car thru the lobby…
17:25 Damn
17:26 Damn
17:27 I weep openly

I really wish we find the phone soon... this is starting to be a pain...

Okay, so no luck at the Bellagio (yet, 1 more bank of phones to check), no luck at the lobby of Caesar's, nobody's checked either Barbary Coast or the Flamingo...

Payphone project lists Caesar's (but they're all in the forum shops, on the other side of the entire block).... so, where to go?

I suggest we all split up and take 1 location each... hopefully by using broad canvassing strokes, we should (theoretically) cover more ground...

I swear, I think the reasons our axons didn't change much, is because they understand what we have to look through....

Needle in haystack? BAH... try needle in HAYFIELD...

Remember, I tried the Barbary Coast phones on the first day, the ones by the elevators. There's another bank by the front desk.

Still recuperating for surgery, so I can't join you for another couple days.

Gambatte, guys!

Just to see if we can completely eliminate 1 casino/hotel/small land mass, I'll finish out the Bellagio.... lessee... 10 phones, 1 guy... man I hope the ringers are loud....

ah well... anybody else feel like rats in a maze?

course the irony is if the phones we're looking for are the ones across from the lobby at the flamingo... Rolling Eyes

Yeah, I thought about that, but I didn't see any phones when I went in... didn't really check too much inside, I remember it being a bar/restaurant kinda thing...

Who knows though? Could be what we've been looking for the last 2 weeks...

Here's my latest difinitive info based on what we know so far:

The coordinates listed are EXACTLY those listed on Geocode.com as being at the Bellagio address.

So, we know the phones are at the Bellagio. The only phones I could find listed on payphone directory are these four:

Quote:
702-862-4863...Bellagio......................3600 Las Vegas Blvd S...near restrooms by shopping area*
702-862-4864...Bellagio......................3600 Las Vegas Blvd S...near restrooms by shopping area*
702-862-4865...Bellagio......................3600 Las Vegas Blvd S...near restrooms by shopping area*
702-862-4866...Bellagio......................3600 Las Vegas Blvd S...near restrooms by shopping area*

Interesting that there's four listed, and four axons, fwiw.

I know I checked those phones, but my call history doesn't go back far enough for me to double check that these were still the numbers of the phones by the restrooms across from the lingerie shop.

I think we need to verify the locations of these numbers. Also, a thought occurs to me. If a couple of these numbers are in fact at different locations, then if we were checking a new location with each time, we could have been crossing paths with the phone calls, so to speak.

IMO, we need to concentrate on these phones/numbers, as they're the only ones that can be successfully reverse engineered, from a meta standpoint.

Huh, with those numbers you'd think that they're right next to each other...

Perhaps they are... I can check later on tonight, I guess...

Just be careful when parking in the Bellagio parking garage... some dude got jacked there a coupla days ago....

Oh, and BTW, the phones in the lobby of the Flamingo were bust. There apparently used to be a phone according to the casino map between Margaritaville and Conrad's but it had been removed... did find a set near the Second City showhouse...

Concerning those numbers, we have good news and bad news...
good news is, I found them and I was right, they were next to each other..
bad news is, unfortunately they were the ones across from the lingerie store...

However, I did find another set of phones by the buffet (the casino map has them supposedly near Light, but I'm finding that the casino maps aren't exactly current)....

Have attached pictures of new phones....

Good luck man, I'll try the pohones at the Bellagio, near the convention rooms, and if those don't ring, I'll try the ones near the buffet...

Good luck to all, hopefully we can find the (seemingly) 1 phones that will ring...

From reading the forum for the last few days i understand that the coordinates right now are las vegas blvd and flamingo,,, I thought i would help with any information i could give since you all seem to be working so hard.

I can pretty much get any information i want on bellagio, or what is going on there so i snooped a bit..all for a good cause,, i thought any information is helpful information... take what you'd like and disreguard the rest,,,.

There is a payphone in the employee entrance of Bellagio. I dont remember anyone talking about this one. The entrance is on the west side of the building facing I15 freeway. You can access this payphone, for they do not do a security check untill further down the hall....there is also one in the new tower they are building (technically on the same address). next,, there is no talk amongest employees at Bellagio or casino security staff about there payphones ringing. No complaints have been filed at this time..Some of the payphones are routed to the front desk, although i couldnt get which ones to be exact (not that thats really helpful),but no talk of ringing phones at the front desk either....

Oh great... the plot thickens (or is it sickens?)...

Hadn't yet considered employee entrance phones... hopefully tomorrow (have had guests over all week, couldn't get time away)... still have not yet had time to check the phones by the convention rooms... or the buffet... now we have Round 4? Hopefully the phone part ends soon... or it culminates into something cool... I'm sorta partial to the dancing robots, but then again, I grew up when breakdancing was pretty much mainly pop'n'lock...

sorry my home computer is down i had to wait till i got to work to update here... I checked out those phones i updated on payphone directory nothing ... i had to wait there for 3 times because drunk people kept coming and calling their friends "WOOO guess where i'm at... VEGAS BABY!!" + i had my family in town so i was only able to there on friday
SPEC- i was thinking that unlike most cities on this list i am sure one or 2 of the PM's could have visited this town and just walked in and gotton the numbers they needed. So maybe we should think like tourist when looking for the phones
