With that quote he's very much linking either himself or me to Owl from Winnie The Pooh. He often refers to me as "little owl" - but we do know there is "another owl".

I'm a little curious as to why the Ning is closing. Also, I notice that according to the email, their IT guy is currently having exams -- poor guy. I have my oral exam in Religion and Ethics tomorrow.

Welcome aboard! We're awaiting solstice, so you'll have a lil' time to read up. The game is a follow-up to the first Vanessa Atlanta game (which I only followed the start of). You won't need much knowledge of the first game, but reading up on this one would be a good idea, I think.

Interesting that someone not participating in the game(?) suddenly has been drawn in by a character.

D'oh. Stupid as can be, I just now realised that "All realities gone" does abbreviate into "ARG".. Although your explanation (Atlanta's Angulus Ridet Greenwich) works as well. I remember seeing that quote on the very start of the first Atlanta game, when I was poking around.

And I do realise that butterflies have been rather important. What I don't realise, is how we're s'posed to pick up the clues, which -- as I understand it -- have been spread ("taken wing"). "They'll be found by those seeking to help others", he said. Maybe we'll get some starting clues 'round solstice.

ETA: (I feel I'm editing a lot of posts..) I just logged into Twitter, and saw that prof. O has changed his profile picture again. Looks like a stone with the rune representing I carved into it. Or just some other random line. He also has tweeted anew:

The circle w/cross is the symbol of the Earth (source, Wikipedia). Upon reading the first source, I also notice this:

The use of the hashtag allows people searching twitter looking for a new ARG to get involved in to find this one, that's all, though the PM has tied it into other things throughout the game (Angulus Ridet Greenwich, all realities gone, Vlad's Astronomia: 111, etc.).

The PM has also mentioned before (in the most recent chapter's post-game chat, IIRC) that Nings are no longer going to be free, starting in, uh, July? so he needs to find another avenue to use for the game due to funds being pretty tight. There is no insidious reason for the shutting down of the Ning.

I'm really busy for the next 4 days or so with end-of-school stuff (my classes are writing exams Mon & Tues, and then I need to get their marks in ASAP due to disruptions in my school's area due to the G20 summit); I'll try to be back in the game Wednesday evening my time. If any of you have time to grab whatever images and so on you can from the current Ning, before it gets shut down, that would be helpful. Updating the wiki would be helpful, too . Otherwise, you'll have to wait a few days for me to get back into the swing of things.
