Haven't posted in a long time or very often but I've been keeping up with this since Marble Hornets is on hiatus. New video was posted an hour or so go! Seriously, I can't get over how awesome these guys are in terms of acting.

Who is Alex and what do they mean by, "would have done that"?

Is Evan's older brother named Alex because that would make sense in regards to all the pictures and stuff they found in the video, Sleep Lab Part 1 - Sleep Deprivation. I haven't finished watching - - - yet because of this crappy internet at my relative's house.

Alex is definitely a brother of one of the guys... And I think what they were talking about when they were saying "would have done that" was that they thought Alex would have done something like that (leaving all those taped up creepy photos in that room) but couldn't because he was away visiting friends in another state.

ETA: I'm pretty sure now that Alex is Jeff's brother. Since they were staying at Jeff's house for the sleep experiment.

Yeah, I'm with Deimos. They're probably talking about Marble Hornets's Alex. It's possible they're talking about someone else, but come on, in a Slender Man story, how can you utter the name "Alex" and not automatically make that connection?

As for the footage...hmm, they spliced stuff from their excursion with friends, but...was the door-kicking stuff and hallway-walking in that video? I'd have to go back and check.

I actually wouldn't really wonder of some of the ARGs would be secretly connected, who knows maybe many are so similar because they play in the same alternate reality.

It almost seems to me like they're trying to do some sort of spiritual "prequel" to MarbleHornets. MarbleHornets was about the "aftermath" of Slenderman, Jay dealing with Maskies and the mystery of what happened to Alex *and* everyone else that had been involved. EverymanHYBRID, though, hasn't had a Slenderman attack before. And it has a large cast of characters, just like MarbleHornets had. And one of the characters seems to be going insane... because, what if Slenderman makes Maskies everytime he "attacks"? Someone always becomes one, or something like it.

Anyway, that was just a long way of saying that I think we're going to see a couple of parallels between this and Alex's original Slenderman happenings ^^;

Evan was targeted, and now Jeff. I wonder how long it'll be before Vince becomes the focus of our resident stalker.

Aside from that, there's footage in here that's apparently from the nature walk, but it doesn't fit. That was supposed to be a way for the guys to get Evan's head straight, so why are they pulling a Lethal Weapon maneuver on abandoned doors and...

Wait. What's with that car scene? Oh Jesus they're filming themselves constantly...
Edit: Well not exactly. There's scenes from three different events in this video, now that I'm taking the time to watch it again.

1. Argument between Evan, Jeff, and Vince regarding whether to continue the Youtube videos despite someone obviously targeting them with Slender Man related tactics.
2. Previously unseen footage from the nature walk that was apparently supposed to help get Evan's head on straight. This footage is a bit odd, since it mostly consists of looking around the buildings we saw on the nature walk. Also my previously mentioned "Lethal Weapon maneuver".
3. Hidden among all of this are a couple scenes suggesting some sort of road trip. The part that sold me on this was around 3:20 in the video, where we see footage of someone filming in a car, at night. They look around with the camera to show the car is FULL of people. There are scenes before this as well, one of them footage of what looks like a typical gas station/pit stop, and another of Vince running around like he's on Baywatch or something.

Evan was suggesting something before he was cut off by the Lethal Weapon maneuver. I think he was about to suggest that maybe...MAYBE...the real Slender Man is haunting them.

A side parallel, the "canyouseethwords" blog has a resident artsy person who seems up to answering questions. Perhaps she can fill the Masky/TTA void?

I'm thinking they're unrelated, to be honest. Aside from Evan looking at it once, there hasn't been ANY mention of Canyouseethewords on EverymanHYBRID, and EH hasn't been mentioned on cystw. It's entirely possible that the EH crew went looking for a slightly Slender Man looking blog that wasn't well known and featured it just because.

Also, was anyone else chuckling at the latest Twitter update? "Youtube wanted to plaster our videos with ads, but we were all FUCK THAT NOISE!"
...My quotes are almost always inaccurate and exaggerated. But they're funnier that way.

Edit: Also also, This isn't Marble Hornets. They'd lose pretty much all credibility as film makers if they blatantly ripped off the MH formula of "Oh hey there's a third party stalking me and sending me coded messages."

They may be unrelated...as of right now. However they found a blog that none of us have and just happened to introduce it to us. That is a very big coincidence there.

It is possible. Maybe they actually are trying to collaborate on the project or give this one some recognition? Who can say.

Umh, guys, I think the blog (you know which one) is definitely making this more intriguing!! We now have two mentions of A DAY IN THE LIFE!! One per the video on EH and one by the song of the Beatles on the blog.

Why this is important??
