After reading that flyer from everfalling...it got me thinking of things that can go thru the mail system in unconventional packaging.
Coconuts for one...those lil bottles for themed invitations.
I found this website that talks about experiments done for mailing things:
http://improbable.com/airchives/paperair/volume6/v6i4/postal-6-4.html
there are alot of other sites on mail art and naked mail...
When mailing our objects, it seems to me that the closer we are to the recipient, the fewer hands they have to pass through and the less likely they will get rejected.
I don't know how reliable this P.O. Box locator is, but it says the P.O. Box in question is located at:
POTRERO CENTER POST OFFICE
1655 BRYANT ST
SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94103
Which is near 16th and Bryant. Whether or not this is correct, it can't be too far off because it isn't far from the zip code 94141.

I was sworn to secrecy when I received it, but I was given an object in clandestine fashion during the meeting of the Elsewhere Philatelic Society that leads me to believe the numismatologists are either infiltrating our stamp club, or seeking to merge with us.
So call me paranoid, but the new flyer given to Everfalling and now on the Philatelic Society site seems like an opportune way for these desired items of Nonchalance to fall into the wrong, coin-grabby hands. Thoughts?

I think if there /is/ a mole in the EPS that using such an out in the open ploy to get ahold of artifacts would be counterintuitive. I'm sure the legit EPS members would wonder where the artifacts were going if not to them.

Sadly, I was consumed by work and missed YET ANOTHER EPS meeting.
Sigh.
I'm crossing my fingers hoping that they'll still accept applicants next month.

Missed Stamp Meetings I'm also very bummed that I haven't been able to make it one of these meetings due to work. If only it was an hour later!
Does anybody know if there will be another meeting next month? Or if I can register via the flyer that was posted on the society's website?

So did somebody upload the files somewhere accessible?
And, any interesting finds there?

I have the SD card that was embedded in the nickel, but I'm not sure where to put all the files. I suggested adding people to my Dropbox account, but only a couple people responded to that. What is the best way for me to put these somewhere for everyone to grab?

filevo.com works pretty well, and doesn't give you the "bandwidth exceeded" errors or whatever..

I was passing by the pineapple on my way home from work just now.
There's a couple of guys in a car parked nearby, near the tables.
They're shooting video, though there's nothing obviously interesting going on.
Probably just a coincidence.
Those guys are still there, though. If you'd like to stop by and ask them something.
