Tikal! Very nice. Sonic Adventure was such a great game.

What's the da-da thing, though?

one pattern is that all the calls come in on Verizon-owned lines.

(although these lines may be "rented" to other telco's such as MCI and cloud9)

Why?

It's because Verizon's lines are centrally monitored and controlled by a single mainframe. This gives easy access to anyone who wants to "spam" calls at certain times to certain phones - like ILB.

The command and control center that Verizon uses is engineered by Whitlock.

that hoooaahahahalkdlkjdfsdflk is the menu select song at the beginning of Halo.

fyzle I don't know if that Verizon thing is true. I do believe that a great majority of the phones are Verizon-owned, but not all. I know of two that I've seen myself that are not Verizon owned... Just to clarify. I just don't want to let major conspiracy theories abound! (not that you were propagating such theory, but...)

The majority of the payphones that I have visited in the SF area are SBC owned.

Edit: below text

And, having just read fyzle's original SPEC, I'd have to say that it's not holding a lot of water with me. Each region determines who owns the LEC. While deregulation has allowed non-local carriers to offer both local and long distance service outside of their home region by renting the local exchange carriers (i.e., LEC) equipment, the equipment is most often regionalized. For the south-western and southern states, SBC holds sway over the majority of the LEC services, and everyone else who offers service in the area are merely renting.

Note, the above only applies to wireline services, and does not apply to wireless services. Wireless towers provide multi-vendor coverage (hence roaming, etc.) but such things are not my specialty.

Phone numbers?

Rather than the GPS locations, could it be the phone numbers that are a puzzle???? I have not been able to find spec on this. The numbers in a block could encode something. Although the 12 in a row at one location in DC would be hard to explain, but it was stated this morning that they were all at different phones! Has anyone made a list of phone numbers?

The danger of this is that it could lead to access by prank callers who could shut down the axon connection!

You know what,
I think this game was supposed to be simple.
They provide axon locations. We enhotenate them. SP compiles the wavs for us.
Nothing tricky.

Today's Hidden text puzzles were simple? Perhaps by some Beast standards. But you may well be right, I could just be chasing shadows!

Keep in mind that this is the "Physical Axon Pattern Revisited" thread, which is about, you know, revisiting physical axon patterns.

I see what you're saying; but don't worry, this thread isn't going to overtake the more simplistic Axon Theory, it's just supposed to make sure that discussion of the concept of a pattern between the axons doesn't go cold as we chase payphones. We want to be as thorough as possible.

no one made a ordered dots diagram of the axon locations yet? Like.. connect the dots, but with only the numbers, no lines?

Is it possible that the axons coordinates have something to do with where the SP is being held captive?

Trout that if you will, I was just curious.

I can tell you that this is not true, because all the payphones in New Mexico are owned by Qwest. Some are so old they don't even have Qwest written on the phones, but Qwest is till the only telephone company in the state (excepting cell providers).
