Re: [META] Troy Axon organization

And props to HitsHerMark for arranging this successful blitz!

(By the way, for the folks above wondering about the green/white issue on the cold axon: Just as the orange color is really the "fun links" graphic, the green color is really the "bee logo" background. Perhaps what causes it to switch between green and white is whether your browser has loaded a clean version or a corrupted version.)

Fable weekend planning

I figured now would be a good time to start coordinating. So, here I go.

- Angels Stadium, 2:05pm: My groundskeepers didn't come through. I expect that if they actually did answer it, that they said it too fast. I had to say it slowly and enuciate at the Block (I think that may have been the problem the first time, the guy was nervous and talking a little fast). I am almost certain that its the right phone. Its right on the coordinate and the next closest ones are a block or more away.

- Stadium Promenade, 2:51pm: I haven't really scouted this one yet. I sort of drove by, so I know where the strip mall is, but I have no idea where phones are. It's only a few minutes away from Angels Stadium, so maybe we could meet at this one early, and then designate someone to go hit the Stadium one while everyone else continues to scout phones. There was a movie theater, Acapulco, and a King's Fish House that I noted as I drove by. I need to look at the satellite shots again, maybe I can pinpoint the marked building better.

- Wax Museum: As you may have already noticed, someone hit Buena Park for us (yay!), but didn't quite finish the deal. It looks like all 3 phones right there at the museum are targets, and that we'll need to hit the Pofolks restaurant one still (unless he goes back and gets it). Fried green tomatoes for you!

Edit: OC axon page updated with a bit more information. Going to do some coordinate-address cross referencing now to see if I can get a better hit on 14:51.

I am not going back for this set of axions in Buena Park someone else will have to hit the 16:05 PDT axion, but it may not be in the pair of phones by the Wax museum, since no phone rang for the the 15:05 PDT time slot.

To update: I will be hitting 14:01 tomorrow, then I will try to find 14:51. Later, I will be at the Wax Museum to finish my day off with 16:05. Maybe I'll see someone!

The one at Movieland (butter_flavored) turned out to be the phone in front of Po Folks... Interesting no?
(I need to start bringing a better camera with me.)

butter_flavored... While it gives us little in the way of information about the actual story line, is now my favorite .wav file.

Found a pay phone pretty much on the dot at the entrance to the parking
lot of Angel's Stadium, however, the time came and went, but no
ringy-dingy.

There is a possibility that the actual location is inside the Stadium.
Robynn enlisted the help of some grounds keepers early in the week,
but they've turned out to be unhelpful. Since it is still a time of
year when they have games at the Stadium, it is unlikely that we'll be
able to get to the axon without having to buy a ticket if it's
actually inside.

Hopefully, it can be changed to the one outside.

Is broken. Broken broken broken.
In a bank of three, the one on the far right rang at
the correct time, but the volume was very very soft. I could barely
hear the voice at the other end. I yelled "Apocolypso" three times,
and was drawing a deep breath to actually scream into the receiver when I barely barely heard, "You're not one of mine.", or something like it.

The one in the center is completely busted, and calling the one on the
far left results in a high pitched beeping noise. Very sad.

If this axon does not go hot in this round I hope they do something to get it replaced for the next round.

Magical webpage updated. All the ones from last week are back, including the two that didn't go hot. Our first one isn't until 12:30, so I'll have a chance to verify that nothing changed as a result of our weekend excursion before its important. I don't think I'll be able to get out and get any until the weekend, as we have important people in this week at work and I will likely be very busy.

Rest assured, I will do pickup answering on Saturday if necessary. Fly, my little monkeys! Or something.

I suppose I could get the Buena Park ones during my lunch... But it would be better to wait I think, until there's annother person to cover the phones with me since they're not close enough together to cover both at the same time.

The one in Irvine is so close to work, I'll probably be able to get it on the first day.

for buena park, give me a yell on my cellphone, it takes me about 15 minutes or less to get there, depends on traffic. Had not been keeping up too much with the newest axons, so will need coaching there...

No problem.

Upon doing some calculations, I might not be able to go out to Buena Park on Tuesday. But I'll give you a hollar on your cel at around 11:30/12:00 either way to let you know.

Okay, so according to Yahoo... I should be able to make it from my work to the Axon in about 26 min... Not sure if it takes traffic into account...

Now I kinda took a long lunch today so if you two (Robynn and Nightmare Tony) don't mind... How about we go for Buena Park on Wed instead of Tues?

Works for me. I'll see if I can't sneak out to the Block today, too.

I got the two wax museum axions today. No other beekeepers present.
12:31 left phone
13:01 right phone
The guy beind the counter asked me was going today and I said I was waiting for a payphone tp ring. I said it was part of a game.
He was interested and at one time was really into one on-line role playing game.

Sounds like a plan!

I missed the Irvine Axon today, we had a meeting. I suspect I'll be able to get it on the marrow.

Winter Saturday is coming...

We have two more axons in Anaheim to enhottentate.
09/14 15:33 PDT - NOT HOT (cheerleaders)
09/14 16:57 PDT - NOT HOT (knee_caps)

Since most people in OC know where it is and how to get to it, I suggest we meet at the Block at 12 or 1 for lunch and possibly to go to the Stadium to scout out other possible phones in the area before going to pick up the Promenade one at 3:33. (Though I still hold out hope I will not have to eat my umberella...)

So that leaves only one question... Where to have lunch?

Carl's Jr? Or Alcatraz? Very Happy
