I was wondering if there would be anyone on the messageboard attending Argfest that would be willing to bid on items on my behalf? I unfortunately will not be able to attend the event live and I haven't heard of any way to participate online in the auctions. Thank you

I can be your bidding proxy at the organ auction.

A live broadcast with someone managing the online bidding in the auction would be neat. Smile

Question: I'm trying to book my room (well our, since there's 4 of us) and the discount rate event page to which you linked, Imbri, is stating that there aren't any more rooms available. Is that because we just waited too long? It says the discount rate is no longer available but also that it's available until July 2...

There are still plenty of rooms in our block, so you may want to try booking over the phone. Let me know how that goes. We're contractually obligated to fill X number of rooms and if we don't we have to pay for them. So if they aren't letting people book, I'd like to know.

Have you posted what the coordinates are for this thing in the thread yet?

It's GC1BE4 - One Way to the Right Way, and it's at N 33° 38.308 W 084° 24.669, where these directions are the best way I was informed by a friend who did it recently. Travel to marker B, where you turn right and follow the drive to the building west of the white roof, at Delta Air Lines, to find its building number from the parking lot. easy! Razz

Just booked the room no problem over the phone. The site's still being weird though--you might want to check that out.

Hey, My brother and I are getting into the airport around 8am on Wed. too. And this cache intrigues me!! We're not going to have a car, but if you're still thinking about cabbing it to the cache and want some company we're in!!

(And this also cracks me up... I can just hear the discussion with the driver now..." No, no no... we need to go around again so we can see that sign we just passed on the other side of the road.... then please drop us off back at the airport." LOL!!!)

 Belle Badges!

Last year for ARGFest I made handcrafted name badges (coined Belle Badges) for a few lucky ARGFest attendees. This year you can order your very own custom badge! You can even pick them up for free at ARGFest! Please check it out and spread the word!

http://bit.ly/bellebadge

In other ARGFest news... I have my conference tickets, airfare, and hotel all booked (for both myself and my caregiver, Laura)! I am sooooo excited!!!!

TEN DAYS TO ARGFEST OMG YAY!

A couple updates for those not following along on the site or on twitter...

1) It's going to be awesome. But y'all know that!

2) Keynote: Maureen McHugh - she's amazing! she's been the writer and/or editor for some of the best games out there (I Love Bees, Why So Serious, Year Zero, Project Abraham, Last Call Poker... more that I'm forgetting)

3) Conference schedule is up! You can see it here. There are still a few changes that need to be made - need to fit in 2 more sessions (one on augmented reality & ARGs and another on getting money).

4) Fest schedule will be up, hopefully, by the end of the week. We had 7 submissions. All look to be a ton of fun. If you guys want to come up with something, feel free! Just let me know & I'll make sure it gets added in. Also, the conference is going to include a mini-game jam workshop/challenge with a super fun theme. So that'll add to the events.

As you know, we got completely screwed by our original venue but made up for it by having it at the W Atlanta-Midtown which is in a fantastic location & right by Piedmont Park & MARTA. We're a bit short on our rooms (which hurts as we're still a couple thousand short on the budget and I'd really like to avoid adding another few thousand to it) so if you haven't already booked your rooms, please do ASAP.

Also - we still need a t-shirt design. If you can get me one before tomorrow (when I order the shirts), I'll be super grateful!

Just booked my room today...yeah, I'm a total slacker, I know...they claim to only have rooms with 1 king, but that they would "try to find a 2-bed room", which may or may not be important depending on how secure my roommate is Smile

In any event I plan to hopefully spend very little time the room, and lots of time with you awesome folk....with the afterparty in whatever room I'm in, of course Very Happy

Thanks Brooke for all your hard work.
