Yes its very odd. The times are sorta strange and the moon phases make me think of rocket poppeteers site.I keep looking at it and feel its something. If a clue isnt there now it could be in another month.I think we should and dissect the calender some and also see what happens on it in july.

i know they wouldn't put an alien like right in the picture or whatever, but when you raise the brightness up like 2 times by using photoshop and going to Image>Adjustments>brightness/contrast. this is what pops up in the picture along with alot of like scratches and stuff.

(i just posted this, but cant find it on the site.. maybe i did it wrong. if it shows up twice, i'll jump off a bridge.)

Is Josh Minker trying to authenticate something, like a video he may have found of some interesting footage?

On the Top Ten Real Conspiracies website as of 6/5/10:
"Hey - new to this site. Does anyone know the best way to authenticate something? Like old papers, photos, footage, etc? Are there experts for conspiracy related verifications? Would appreciate the help!"

Correct me if I am wrong, but the monkey pin on the Craigslist hat is on the opposite side of the bow from the one in the printout image. Doesn't necessarily mean anything, could just be a continuity problem.

Wow, very cool developments!

Quick idea: I don't know what phases of the moon have to do with fishing, maybe it's just there for a visual reference — but IF the phase/position of the moon was somehow related to "ideal" fishing times, then wouldn't those time frames be relative to each time zone?

i.e. if the sun rise is at 6:47am, that's a local time: the sun wouldn't rise at 6:47am ET and 3:47am PT. It would be 6:47am local time for every zone, given curvature of the earth, etc. Just an idea.

Also wondering...

Josh's interest is the coelacanth, a fish long thought to be extinct but two species were rediscovered, one in 1939 and the other in 1999. Reportedly the fish has no actual value outside museums and collectors, simply its rarity is its claim to fame. I doubt a giant fish is breaking out of the boxcar in the SUPER 8 train wreck, but perhaps this clue points to the theme of an extinct species' "resurrection" as the creature?

Well actually, looking at the craigslist photo, it appear the pin has been just been added to the hat recently, so perhaps moved from one side to another? The velvet is disturbed (lighter) just to the right of the monkey like someone's thumb may have been pressing there as they closed the pin. If the pin had been sitting in that place for years while the hat was boxed up or whatnot, that mark would not be there.

Just a thought.

ETA: Though I also just noticed the bow is laying exactly the same in both pictures. The right side of the bow is inside the hat rim, the left side is laying on top of and partially out of the rim, even a little pinched to it and the two ends are hanging out. That actually seals the deal for me on it. The bow couldn't match any more than that. This is the same hat. I don't know if they moved the pin to try to throw us or not, but I'm convinced Smile

Holy crap. My forum subscription is totally failing me, every time something happens and people start posting a lot, it doesn't email me until after I visit the site and find out myself! WTH!

I'm super excited at this development!! Did anyone else notice that Mr. Minker seems lonely (in reference to the coelacanth blog, he sounded like he wanted to talk to that Sally lady more). Poor Josh.

I don't discount that it's relevant. I was merely responding to someone who emailed Josh about the calendar not having a time zone associated with the times listed on the calendar. The point being: something celestially related like the moon isn't specific to time zones, but rather relative to your local position so time zones wouldn't be relevant. Assuming the calendar has any such meaning as a clue, of course.

That's what made me think it's just a continuity issue, unless someone can find another shot of a different hat with the bow laying so similarly.

I think the monkey looks photoshopped onto the hat, so *shrug*

Wasn't the hat in the download pic reversed because it was a reflection in a mirror or window?

Oh, and BTW, I was right about the red hat being a clue Wink
