anagram coelacanth is an anagram of:
conceal hat
catch alone
on the moon phases the AM and PM times don't make any sense.
conservancies and conservancy appear and are a bit weird, (conservation)
APRIL 4th "since mine isn't "Mr. Cartwright"" ""Dear Mr. ________" why block out the name when it says to the right: Hello there! I'm Josh Minker and I run Hooklineandminker.com.
MAY 9th "in two weeks, my quest will be OVER!!!" was 23rd May.
MAY 18th "Atlantic Wolffish to my list or not. Yes – it's endangered – but it became that way through overfishing and not natural means." What does it matter?
hlm1963SPLAT yahoo.com 1963 his year of birth?

What if the Rocket Poppeteers site will open when the moon phase on the HLM calendar is the same as the RP moon? I think it'll be mid-July.

hi,
excuse me for my english.
in an old news, paramount search three boys and girls and one boy is JOSH 13/14 years.
Now, Josh's email is hlm1963 <-- into 1977 he has 14 years.
is this a coincidence?

Just viewing the source of hooklineandsinker.com
As expected, nothing ARGish. However, it does appear to my eyes that dates may have been budged a bit.
Code:
(div id="post-38" class="hentry p1 post publish author-josh category-blog untagged comments-open pings-closed y2010 m06 d10 h05 slug-ta-da")
Code:
(div id="post-36" class="hentry p2 post publish author-josh category-blog untagged comments-open pings-closed y2010 m05 d26 h05 alt slug-still-trouble-posting")
Code:
(div id="post-33" class="hentry p3 post publish author-josh category-blog untagged comments-open pings-closed y2010 m05 d18 h01 slug-wolfish-or-no-wolfish")
Code:
(div id="post-1" class="hentry p6 post publish author-josh category-blog untagged comments-open pings-open y2010 m04 d03 h19 alt slug-hello-world")
Code:
(div id="post-31" class="hentry p4 post publish author-josh category-blog untagged comments-open pings-closed y2010 m04 d15 h06 alt slug-apologies")
Code:
(div id="post-28" class="hentry p5 post publish author-josh category-blog untagged comments-open pings-closed y2010 m04 d10 h04 slug-hi-everybody")
Code:
(div id="post-1" class="hentry p6 post publish author-josh category-blog untagged comments-open pings-open y2010 m04 d03 h19 alt slug-hello-world")
(I changed the opening and closing tags to parenthesis so it wouldn't mess up the post)
What strikes me about this is the "hentry p1" through "p6" parts. One would think that "p1" would be the first post chronologically. That doesn't seem to be the case, though. It also appears that "y2010 m04 d03 h19" and so forth is a way to fabricate a date using html. I thought most blog hosting sites automatically placed a date as a header. Again, this does not seem to be the case.
Someone with a little more knowledge of the subject may want to double check for us, but if the dates have been fabricated, it would seem to be another good indication that this site is IG.

Thinking about this more... let's look into this with the casting call in mind. The casting call wanted a 13-14 year old boy to play Josh. If the Josh we have here was born in 1963 that means he was 14 in 1977. Isn't that right around the time-frame we expect for Super8?
(Someone beat me to the above information while I was typing )
However, the man on the 800 line, and the person who is writing the blog is obviously older. Assuming their birthday has already passed, a person born in 1963 is currently 47.
Another insteresting bit is that attempting to login at http://hooklineandminker.com/wp-login.php gives an HTTP login prompt (for "NULL") before the standard WordPress login page. To me, that says that this is not your average person's blog.
So, everything seems to fit for this being in-game. But... what do we do with it? Hopefully more clues will come soon

Could be a high tide chart, but you would have to know where.

Ok, I've had a go at trying to identify more of the writing in the pictures:
Paper 1 hand written
Line 1:
Choose fame design 6
Line 2:
white swan 6
Line 3:
rev sles 7
paper 2 printed
16th, 2010
The afternoon
any reprieve
If attending graveyard ceremony
Please follow with lights and flashers on
If you wish to contribute to the Mu el fund
More information can be found
Can anyone help fill in the gaps?
Googled 16th 2010 afternoon reprieve graveyard etc = nothing.

reading through his coelacanth blog i notice that he needed to sell some old things on april 13th which probably relates to the things weve seen on craigs list and on 15th and 19th he says he cant post for a while, when did we first get the stop posting publicly printout??? is this guy the second person in that convo were printing out???

I think that Josh is the guy who was posting publicly, rec'd "the damn thing", etc.
So the convo would be:
Mystery Person: Stop posting publicly. I can answer your questions. I have proof.
Josh Minker: See. I have the damn thing. What is it?
Mystery person: I think something may have reactivated. Need to make sure we're still alone. Keep hidden until further contact.
ETA: STIES was discovered May 6th. The "stop posting publicly" part was already on the "print all documents" window when the site was discovered so that bit of the conversation cannot be dated unless you assume that the date the site went live is the same date the convo started.

Typically, the first poster in an email has no >
The first reply has a >
The second has >>
The 3rd has >>>
and the 4th has >>>>
3 and 4 are there but no words after them..
The order of these is in doubt as we really dont know which came first.
Also, as I said earlier, they didnt have email in 1979 yet somehow we are accessing them thru an old 70's computer?
In other words, one couldnt post anything publicly in 1977-79..

It's not a 70s computer. It is a modern computer that is running a PDP-11 simulator program.
