Anyone know if scanners only scan the visible spectrum? Would the pixels be visible? Just wondering.

Kraz-bot Here's the next one.
Kraz-Bot:
On to Vice Squad. I'll overlay as different and same color pixels when I'm done. One thing I noticed already...one of the pixels overlaps, and I can't tell if that's because I'm starting at the wrong place. I can obviously shift it around, but when you take the pictures folks, please try and get both left and right border edges in there. It looks like the strips have them.

To help with not having huge scrolling madness, take a peek at this post about how to attach or embed images that will fit a 1024x768 screen (pretty much the web standard right now) with a link to the full size image:

madopal, there is an overlap on a pixel because i took two different pictures and lined them up using that pixel as a vantage point.
also, santa clarita is a big mailing center north of the San Fernando Valley where there is a large mail distribution center, if your postcard it postmarked from there, that does not mean it was sent from there (once again very likely to be Pasadena)

Sorry, I meant between images. It might be a screw up on my part, but Kraz-Bot and ArcWars have a pixel that overlaps in the 8th column, 5th bit (16 on my legend).

Did anyone on the east coast get a postcard? I guess I should be expecting it tomorrow or the next day or saturday. That's how I play these games, I wait and then create a system of deduction and chance.

Now we have to figure out how wide each character is. There should be a single black row separating each character. My guess would be (including the black row) 6 or 7 pixels. I'm going to assume each character is the same width, just because fonts on 8-bit systems were always mono-spaced.
Then we can separate each character and attempt to make best guesses as to what each character may be.
This is a project for the ambitious. The easier route is to wait for all the strips to come in and eliminate the guess work.

I think each character is seven pixels wide. One black strip and six with pixels. Gonna try and count 'em all out and see if they line up.

If you've got a tripod, and you can put your camera on it, lay the card on a table and set the tripod up with the camera laid over on the mount to look straight down. Set for Macro, and get the whole thing in frame. Upload the full size image as an attachment to your post here, and we can go from there.

~sigh~ Dead end there. They're not seven pixels wide. Drat.
The most consecutive lines with pixels appears to be four at the end.

Because of the overlap on the one pixel between the first two postcards, I am allowing that it's possible I have them misaligned. I'm *fairly* sure I got the spacing right, though (90%). They were pretty dead on on a grid, at least between each other (there was a bit of drift across the whole image).
