Thank you very much for checking! I feel I should apologize. I hope a long shot didn't cause you any inconvenience!

I'm still going to go to Ground Kontrol, if only to play Tetris (okay, yeah, and some TRON and Discs of TRON).

I didin't think I did until I angled it in the light just so. On mine it is along the right side (not on the edge but in the image itself). Looks like those little lines you get on postcards- dunno if it means anything.

Nah nah nah. You'll noticethe short time between my posts. It's literally a block from where I live. You can imagine my...frustration....at not being the person who got the phone when the drop was there. I knew it would be too. Sigh.

I really wish I had one of these postcards of my own. I feel like I'm doing black box testing with a blindfold on.

Oh good, then I feel better. Smile

And I feel you on the phone drop: I didn't hear about it until well after the event was over. The first place I would have checked would have been Ground Kontrol, if not for the arcade games then due to the location (downtown, just off the light rail).

Based on a quick Amazon search, about $10

http://www.amazon.com/eParty-Unlimited-BL-6-Portable-Blacklight/dp/B000IAECQU

Though that might be a bit big for your needs. Smile

I'm running some errands this afternoon, and I'm going to pick up a small one on the premise of pet stains (just got a new kitten).

I like my gadgets to have at least a primary and secondary purpose, and this fits that criteria nicely.

No, this one I knew unquestionably it would be the Chinatown arcade- it's the only old-school arcade left from the 70's, and everyone knows it. I stayed around as much as I could but I had a class I had to teach that day. Naturally they announced the location in the middle of my class. I was checking the website on my laptop the whole time. When it was announced, I looked at my class and announced that I deeply hated every one of them. (Actually as I recall, my exact words were "Just to let you guys know, I deeply and personally fucking hate every single one of you.")

Should have called in sick that day, but I'm too damn responsible. When after a few hours, it still hadn't been grabbed, I ended the class early, shot over to the train, ran to the arcade- and just before I arrived, it was updated to have been taken.

Just a thought, but are we so certain that everyone's postcards have the same codes (all arc wars have the same code, etc)?

Sounds like an "emergency field-trip" day to me.

You know, it vaguely reminds me of the banking and routing numbers found on the bottom of a check.
