So if your location is to be believed, you've now received two postcards clear in Maine?

That would certainly kill the idea that it's SW coast only, and may kill the idea of regional segregation of the game titles.

False on both accounts; I'm in San Francisco for the summer, and I said "another" because I am not the first to receive a postcard of that type (yes, I confirmed to make sure it had the same dot pattern).

guys, i highly doubt the code on the front is from FL, but instead is from the USPS...to support my argument, i took a picture under a blacklight of a non-FL postcard i received in 1997.

im willing to bet other "regular" postcards people have gotten also have this coding on it

You're right -- the the US Postal Service (and most likely other Postal Services around the world) mark the front of letters with UV ink codes for their sorting machines.

As a request for those taking pictures of their hidden codes, could you include a ruler in the picture lined up along the top with the left of the black bar (centimeter side)? If stitching multiple photos into one, don't move the ruler. This would greatly help in terms of lining up the images from different postcards.

If the ruler won't show up in the picture, make 1cm markings along the top of the black area. If you don't want to mark up the postcard, then you could make the markings on the edge of a piece of paper and hold it next to the blackened area.

Or, do the clear plastic scrim thing I suggested earlier and remove all doubt (Like mach1monorail did).

Possible Solutions

I'm not 100% sure but to me the overlay letters appear to spell one of the following
ENCOMSRUBBEDTOP = Encom's rubbed top (More likely based on pattern alone)
ENCOMBRUISEDTOP = Encom bruised top (Less likely based on pattern alone)

I was mostly doing this on paper based off the possible letters each 6*6 could be so its not exactly accurate. The more data I get the more I can figure it out.

Perhaps it is talking about a member in the upper management of Encom. A "rubbed" or "bruised" ego/reputation of Kurt Hardington or Alan Bradley perhaps started by Markus Grenwald?

Take care,

Helix606

Suburb of Chicago, still haven't gotten a postcard. Will be waiting next to the mailbox tomorrow though. XD

Tried looking at it upside-down and rotated 90 degrees left and right, but still unintelligible. I think there are more postcards out there that we need to wait for. :O

What if there's a meet-up somewhere? four people who together have all the postcards should get together, trace over their cards, and then we don't have to cobble together an unclear picture. Not to say that Bruce's image wasn't a good start. Smile

Back to pondering and lurking...

I was experimenting earlier and the pictures just give me problems over and over. What I think I need is Some better samples to work with. Then I could size them to each other and overlay them, stack them or whatever. I need photos straight down onto the postcards and good black light exposure. It could be the whole postcard or just the strip.

Something like this that would be perfect

Maybe if we program it into some sort of CAD program, a force-sphere will appear in midair which we can use for space travel.

Possible Lead?

To me, it really looks like we are on the right track lining up and overlaying the dots as pixels. I feel like I can see portions of letters, but it may just be my mind filling in the blanks.

After reading the latest posts, my eyes wandered to the previous author's username: Clu Program

Suddenly, the first three letters in the puzzle started to look like the word "CLU". It also looks like it ends with ".com". I am thinking that I am getting warm, but I cannot guess the remaining words for a URL that works.

Here is what I have tried so far, to no avail:

cluprogram.com
clu-program.com
clu2program.com
clu-2-program.com
cluprogram2.com
clu-program-2.com

I will keep trying other combos. Any suggestions?

I remember the Explorers movie. There is the Tron like cgi dreamscape.
But does this really relate to this puzzle? who did the cgi for those sequenses?
