Yep, I've been going along with the 'extinct' creature angle as well.

My question along this line remains puzzling: what creature previously thought extinct would be the scariest thing we ever saw if caught on film today?

Presumably it must fit within a train boxcar if that's "it" trying to escape, so that limits its size. That seems to rule out some giant dinosaur (and they're hardly new in films by now).

And why would a "normal" extinct creature end up at Area 51 and be shipped to WrightPat instead of some zoological facility. Area 51 and WP seem awfully high-tech/aerospace oriented bases to cage a simple animal, whether it's thought extinct or not.

I can't think of any extinct animal that could so readily bash its way out of a steel plated box car, either.

The mention of a coelacanth certainly points to crytozoology or extinct biology, but I'm not sure if any such beastie could match the physical 'evidence' we see in the teaser trailer. A puzzlement. Confused

Actually that's just one of the labs, there are other research programs based there.

E-mail Josh Minker

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but has anyone e-mailed josh minker through his address on hooklineandminker?

Also just a goofy guess as to the creature. It could possibly be bigfoot if we are going to a cryptozoology angle. Dumb guess i know but without any good clues yet, except for a monkey pin, i thought it would be a humorous guess.

Don't just think it must fit in the train,
maybe it is some sort of rare/extinct creature or an alien who can change sizes or "morph" a bit...

You never know =O

He's facebook picture matches with the Rocket Poppeteers moon.

Josh Minker's blog contains a weird fish on the first photo of he's gallery. It's called Fishzilla and if food ran out in the sea, the fish starts hunting for prey on the land which reminds me of the monster from Cloverfield.

Something also reminds me of the Super 8 trailer in the blog of Josh. One of the facts. ''Bass fish have a sixth sense called electroreception. This sense allows them to detect chemicals, lights, electricity and vibration''

What Coelacanth represents

Film Edge;

I wasn't neccessarily implying that "it" was an extinct creature--it may well be--and I know that's been talked about before.

If it was an extinct creature I would have thought that it would have been contained in a more suitable area than Area 51, which is adjacent to the underground nuke testing area. I would think that it would be housed in a theme park, perhaps something on the order of Jurassic park.

And to know that something was extinct, possibly there would be an illustration in some paleontology book to indicate such.

And how accustomed have we all become to dionsaur movies--don't get me wrong, I love them, but there becomes a saturation point, and if I saw a film of something that looked like it was from the prehistoric era, frankly anymore, it would hardly be the most scariest thing I've ever seen.

But if it turns out to be such, I'll no doubt enjoy it.

It just doesn't seem plausible.

Ofcourse it can be part of the Viral Campaign, but what if someone is just fooling us with a fake account. That just came up in my head.

Facebook is a huge identity risk anyway. Why worry about it any more than you should be already?

(Why I don't have a Facebook account.)
