Huh? How did you find that? It seems to me that that's not a page but something that's part of another page. Were you going over the HTML from known pages and found that referenced in the source from one of them?

uh, i think i drank too much soda. lol
can you rephrase that?
How did you find that URL?
Chance?

It's an XML file and not a webpage. It's data associated with a countdown image. There have been a couple countdown images used on Flynn Lives in the past, odds are this is one of them (but maybe not).
The Date Created you found probably changes every time you check it. Load up the URL and check the Date Created again. The file's probably created when accessed.

OK. After getting my postcard today, I decided to stitch together a high-resolution image of the code in case people wanted it.

Dynamically-created web pages will always show the created date as the current time because, technically, that really is when the page was created (sites running PHP, ASP, etc...). It's only static HTML pages that will have an accurate creation date (and Flynn Lives uses ASP, as indicated by the .ashx used in the url). However, if the page is still in your browser cache, the date might not update because it is displaying a local copy of the page with the old creation date info.

It's still just a file used to run the site. See the entry under the ASP.NET Wikipedia entry. Specifically, it's an "HTTP Handler". These are "used to serve dynamically-generated images" (like in a countdown).

Here, I'll show you it's older than July 3rd... Do a search on Google for "http://www.flynnlives.com/countdownimagehandler.ashx".
I don't know what the 3rd result is... forget that one.
The 2nd is yours from the posting here... Google's quick, aint it? Wink
The first is for the actual page at flynnlives.com
Don't click on the title, but on the Cached link.
See up top? Google says they cached it on Jun 25, 2010 13:53:03 GMT. That's their most recent cache, they've undoubtedly been caching it for who-knows-how-long.
But you can be sure it's at least a week-old, and more likely than not much older than that. Probably months old. Probably associated with the countdown page when they released the movie trailer earlier this year.

And, yes.... you have been drinking to much soda.

Looks like we'll have to wait and see. In the mean time, let's continue to think outside of the box. Can we go back to the matrices with the letters. I think someone had posted a message that said something about "ENCOMSGREED" a few pages back...

I think we should see the 4 punch-card like patterns through a praxinoscope, you know, a zoetrope-like device running at different speeds, and some kind of understandable animated code may come up...

A guest said that based on the grid, "ENCOMGREETINGS" couldn't be the solution. I can't believe we're actually stuck lol. Like I can't even sleep right now, my brain (and I'm sure everyone else's) is on the fritz trying to come up with a sensible and possible way to figure this thing out. Does anyone know where to find a praxinoscope?

EDIT: Since I think it would be kinda hard to get our hands on a victorian era device, could we take pictures of the blacklighted strips and run them through powerpoint or a program that would be able to speed through pictures at a rate fast enough to reveal the hidden message (if there is one)?
