And...it appears as though nobody went to sleep.

Here's a thought going back to the cipher. Why would they all have the same cipher? Why would it be "now playing at your local arcade"? Wouldn't it make more sense for the key phrase to be the name of the game on the card? I'll give it a shot.

Having some difficulty with some of these. The combined one DLs as images.jpg and cannot be read by my computer. Also the Arcwars has a number of datapoints which aren't on the actual card.

I decided that it would make my life, if not everyone else's lives, easier if I inputted the matrix into excel. Much easier to see exact rows and columns and such. I've finished one, working on another, but wanted to ask- is everyone cool with docx, or should I post in .doc?

Do you know what would be really annoying? If after all of this it turned out that these were related to the pitcell page where we were flipping over images.

Has anyone come across this before?

http://www.coinopspace.com/profiles/blogs/a-rare-encom-interview-wtog

I've tried to use the id to get into the employee intranet but haven't got anywhere with the password. I've been using variations of ENCOMSGREED1979 as that's the year that's mentioned in the post for when Atari was hacked and ENCOMSGREED seems to be what a few people think is encoded on the back of the postcards.

I would trout, but I'm not going to go digging through the thread to find where someone else already mentioned this. As for Encomsgreed- I think we've mostly moved past this already (at least it seems to have been dropped for the cipher fo the moment). You might want to finish reading the read of the posts before posting, thanks.

Actually, looking at that page reminded me again that I thought the circuit diagram was curious. I mean, all the BS with the arcade console was one thing but a circuit diagram? Then I noticed that some of the dots we are looking at seem to overlay...

Just to put the theory to bed, I took one for the team and folded a postcard and tried it in my card reader. Absolutely nothing. The device works for sure as I have some old Paris Metro and SF Muni paper tickets that it reads just fine.

Hmm yeh I guess we can put that to sleep then. Props Rogi for trying it, I didn't think you'd have to fold the card though. A commendable action for sure!

IF it's 15 6x6 letters, then it's 90 columns plus a pixel between each, which makes 104 columns. If it has a one pixel padding, then the UV region is 8 rows by 106 columns.
Running out of ideas... imo, it's either wait, or watch for a tip Razz maybe a FL discussion board update will be due soon.

I just counted 108 columns... (18x6)
I made my card ArcWars on Exel

that's what I give.

Maybe it's all wrong...

OK, I lkinda went nuts last night and these are my thoights

It'd be a lot easier to elimiinate letters if we knew the font itself but theres still enough to rule out alot of characters with what we have. I based my combined grid off George's overlay and alot of messing around in PS.

Letter | Possibles
------+--------------------------------
01 | C E G O
02 | H M N O P R U W
03 | C E G J O S U
04 | D O
05 | H M N O R W
06 | G S
07 | A G
08 | H M N O R U W
09 | E G
10 | E S
11 | B C D E G L O S U
12 | B C D O
13 | T
14 | A O
15 | P R

abd that's not including numbers... and I left Q out of the equation since there arent any U's in the right places.
