Kinda losing faith that we can figure this thing out. I want to believe, at this point, that it's either a straight 6x6 formatted text overlay or a 6-line message with 16 characters per line.
Is it just me, or has anyone been able to make one of the SCANNED images fit into a grid smoothly. I sure can't. There's no real hope to get any of the photographed images to align correctly; But the scans should be able to if they're proportioned.

For grins I took that most recent (15 horizontal areas) combined grid and plugged the first line into my 6-bit decoder. This spreadsheet has the results.

Red is just the ones & zeroes reading left-to-right
Orange is the same with the ones and zeroes flipped
Yellow is just "Red", Backwards
Green is "Yellow with the bits flipped.

I didn't play with the data as columns due to the number of 'all-white" columns that exist.

Again, I think the pixels are not consistent in their width on the originals.

Edit: Had to change link as my LeetKey's string reverser let me down.

mentioned earlier that I thought it was interesting that in my card (arcwars) the double-width pixels along the bottom are one large pixel, while the long bar on the right can be clearly seen as one pixel on top of one another.

I can see about making a scan later with the grid overlay I made previously. I can also try to adjust the grid to fit to the actual block sizes given the number of rows and columns of padding around the outside.

Thats what I was trying to say, basically. You also have to keep in mind other factors. Thats all im saying. With more people getting into it, and the events getting bigger. There is a movie, game and, plenty of rumors about flynn arcade events. Just saying lets get all the facts first.
What are these Flynn Arcade events you keep talking about? There was one at last years SDCC. Nobody knows if there's gonna be one this year.
Are you talking about Flynn Lives events?

I'm almost certain there is goign to be another on at SDCCI. Disney/42E rented that same building again this year.

Bear with me if this has already been said, which I sort of assume it has been, but I personally think we are going to get more postcards in, and it looks to me like when you line up each of the black light strips it is starting to form one of those scrolling dot type messages, you know the ones you see in storefronts and at sports games. Is it just me? I think they are literally going to spell it out for us.

Given all the promotional materials going up around the SDCC http://www.comic-con.org/cci/cci10_tronbanners.php I have to agree. Whatever the focus of the postcards, I am pretty certain they will tie into the ComicCon event.

Hmmm, where'd you get that bit of info?

The folding/doubling just seems to severely limit which letters are available, or makes some spaces impossible to create letters in the traditional bit letter format. Not sure I get it's purpose or advantage here. Confused

Was attempting to see if there was another tactic. Since i am not able to do it myself to print it out. wanted to see if there was someone who could and work with it from there.

Has no one made high-quality scans of the barcodes? I've read through all the posts but don't remember to be honest and saw someone mentioning starting over with the grids. If so I can scan the ones in that I have at whatever resolution you guys want and tweak them in Photoshop.

Let me know.

well now it seems we have 2 good theories, that lettering does look promising with it reversed and doubled over itself. The map is a good idea considering the tron presence there. And I just found another theory, I just had typed out the descriptions and there are 690 characters, also corresponding are 690 squares on the grid. Is it possible it's the same kind of puzzle as found in the book during the finding flynn's son puzzle?

Where are you getting 690 characters from? I really like the idea but is 690 = text from all 4 postcards game descriptions? And have we determined that there are 690 "spaces" across the strip?

Has anyone thought of them as keys instead of the code. Perhaps they act as word markers in block of text or something similar.

Does anyone have blacklight imags of the fronts on mine there apears to be a series of lines printed on mine. could they spell out a url? 169.168 or morris code.

ok...anyone care to test the theory? using the descriptions on the back of the card?
the only way this could work...is to put the descriptions side by said...any extra spaces could throw it off..

Astro Gunner says

Rocket your way through a deadly meteor shower
with agility, speed and the mightiest firepower in the
galaxy - Astro Gunner is out of this world!

can any one else post the other card descriptions? make sure you put it down exactly how it is on the card..
