OK, here is EVERYTHING I received, even a scan of the envelope.
NOTE: I not only removed my address information, but I removed their postmark location. I don't see it as relevant, and if anything will only help reveal who the PMs are, which is a bad thing.

REIGATE
CHERTSEY
MOLESEY
SUTTON
RICHMOND
Look at the bars drawn above or below some of the letters.

Think that's the best I can do. That scan was at 1200 DPI.
It's not a very big bar code, printed very tiny (no more than 1" across) ... on what is apparently an inkjet ... on 3"x5" card stock that bleeds.

That sucks. It's going to take some trial and error to come up with a matching valid barcode. There's no way you can get the black/white bars sharper, more separated?

I've tried contrasting it every way I can; I can't get a good read on it.
I'm trying an alternate method. Might take me a bit.

Oh, I missed that one. That was cute.
So yeah... I wonder who contestant #2 is?

Signed up Ok, I've signed up for IFILR Also tried a ton of possible codes on the little gnome computer but no luck there. Tried a bunch of the names of the members. Did you notice the list on the main page?
President Gnome Choamsky
Barrel Gnome
Irish Gnome
Gnomatic Gnome (?)
Gnome Nevell
Vick B. Gnome (marketing)
Maggie? Gnome
Chuck Gnome (security)
Pyro Gnome
Also - I noticed on the board an article titled "Giant Garden Gnome Appears in Iowa" I searched and found the original article from April 9, 2010
http://www.kcci.com/entertainment/23101808/detail.html
This article mentions a giant 13 foot gnome named "Chomsky" on "Kelder's Farm" in upstate New York. Chomsky was put into the Guiness Book of World Records in 2007 as the largest garden gnome in the world, but the one in Iowa is now bigger. I'm sure the article is OOG, but it was used by the PM. I can't make out the other two articles.

Middle Article Ok, I just found the middle article. Published by the Herald-Sun last month, it is titled "Roaming Gnome's Hot Topic" and talks about several garden gnomes around Durham, North Carolina.
http://www.heraldsun.com/view/full_story/8016716/article-Roaming-gnomes-hot-topic?instance=homefourthleft
The article also references a blog -
http://www.durhamgnomes.com/
I'm sure all of this is OOG - but since they are actually referenced by the PM I thought I would put them here. Allows you all to read the articles on the board and it's just all so darn cute

Considering I got the IFILR emails as well, and the only other ARG-related emails I got were the Order of the Trout stuff, I'm almost inclined to lump those together... but nobody else mentioned them here :/
(not gonna lurk on this one, just saying this)

I (Despoiler) got an envelope too, containing the same "newspaper article" and IFILR poster but my index card was a little different (attached).

I'm clicking on those attachments and get nothing but a "general error", care to try again?
