Could a mod please retag http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29894 to something like [OOG?] so that those that want to follow news about the FB page can do it there? It seems that some players still want to keep it in the discussion but there doesn't seem to be a good thread for it.

ETA: Nevermind that request mods. I found the other Facebook thread.

http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29846

picknick14, would you mind please using that thread in the future to post FB related stuff. I think most of us are under the impression that the FB page is OOG or likely a Gamejack. If you still feel compelled to post about it, though that would be the best place for FB news.

Thanks.

I haven't gotten a reply to my email, and my comments haven't been posted yet. Did you actually post the reply you received somewhere here? I can't find it - I just see what you emailed to him.

Edit: Never mind, I just found it. Weird that I couldn't find it searching through all your posts...but it is there. Smile Think I need new glasses.

And if I read your email to him and the reply correctly, he didn't really reference what you said at all...his reply looks pre-programmed. More confirmation in my opinion that HLM is IG and not GJ.

Further edit: Actually he did reply to you pretty directly, now that I found your original, original post:

--------------------

HI Josh,

I'm from Canada and I know for sure that the coelacanth is not a species you will find in the oceans boarding the country. They belongs in more warm water like you will find around Africa.

Good hunting for your elusive and rare fish!

Martin

------------------------------

Hi Martin!

Believe me, you're not the first person to remind me of that over the years!

Do you know that there have only been a handful of Coelacanth sightings in this century? They've mostly been around Indonesia and Africa, but they're spaced out enough (by 30 years in some cases) that scientists are now looking EVERYWHERE for the Coelacanth. In truth, we know so little about these creatures that we can't rule anything out. I prefer to stay as optimistic as I can!

Thank you so much for visiting the site!

J. Minker

-----------------------------------

So now I find that pretty weird, because it sounds like an actual thought-out response rather than a vague pre-programmed one. And I find it very weird in a viral that there might be a real person sitting there reading emails and responding to them personally.

Three pages ago, dude. You didn't repeat a discovery, but you asked a question you could have easily answered by looking so I award you a beautiful fishy trophy

Thought I should mention that the times listed on the "Best Time to Spot Rare Fish!" calendars look very much like tidal charts to me. Most coastal places on Earth have 4 tides per day, though. 2 high and 2 low. So my guess is that the calendar lists either both low tides or both high tides on some coastal region.

I don't think these could be tidal charts - some of the days have two times listed that actually overlap each other. I pointed that out a while back with the dates that are weird like that.

The time spans listed look to me more like they were auto-generated from a program that sometimes messed up as to AM/PM, resulting some days on two time frames that overlap each other. Which is why I thought maybe there was something about the sequence in some way - I tried a bunch of stuff though, like the change in start time day to day, number of minutes in each span, etc - nothing looked like a pattern when I listed it out.

It doesn't look like a typical tide chart, granted. But there are patterns. Notice that the dates on which the times overlap are all on or around a full or new moon when you might expect to see some type of anomalies in tides.

I really don't think it's a mistake. When I transferred it to wiki, I definitely saw patterns. Whether its a tide chart or not is of course subject to speculation but it's what I'm going with right now.

Please, I'm asking very nicely to stop. You know what I'm talking about. I've reviewed all 11 of your posts and they all ONLY relate to one thing. If you've managed to frustrate me than I'm sure there are others. Please stop. Cursing

Edit: Grammar.

Fred on FB=proof GJ

Picknick14;

Review my posts regarding Fred.

Just shows how lame the retards behind the FB GJ are.

Didn't take them long to figure out who should have been there, what time wasting hacks.

Don't play their game (jack)!

Indeed, I am thinking he may be related to the Facebook page because he is pushing it pretty hard and only posts after something new happens on the FB page.

My post does not appear on the HLM site. I used my Rocketeers name.

I think that because they didn't want a direct link to it, although we pretty much know there is one already...

George's comment goes AWOL

Melodyman an kanon,

Regarding George's comment removal--wasn't he the one that left a link to the STIES site, which I commented at the time seemed blatant and too obvious to be IG.

Maybe the PMs realized it was a bit to obvious and "coleacanthed" George?
