Q & A

By the way, is there anyone here going that's participating in the Q&A session at the panel?
I'm going to, but I'm not sure what question to ask yet. Confused I want to have one ready long before instead of just coming up with one at the last minute and making myself look like an idiot. (I did that a couple years ago at another panel).

Best piece of advice is to follow the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy... "DON'T PANIC!"

In all seriousness, the first step in emergency preparedness response training is "Remain calm", which is basically a calmer way of saying "Don't Panic!". I've always preferred to use the latter when teaching emergency preparedness to teenagers. Seems to suit them better.

I searched the schedule page (find as you type in Firefox FTW) and found NO instances of the word "twilight" - there is a God.

One question I'd like to ask or see asked...

"Two years ago, when this movie was still in its infancy, the title was presented as T-R-2-N. Since then, obviously, it's been changed to Tron Legacy. Can you elaborate on the process of selecting that precise title for this film, as opposed to Tron 2 (or 2.0)?"

Of course, the word Legacy has several meanings. This movie is Lisburger's Legacy... an homage to the first film to make extensive use of CGI. Sam Flynn is Kevin's Legacy... the son following in his father's footsteps, willingly or otherwise. The TRON program is a 'legacy' program in and of itself... software that, while old and outdated, is still in use due to its effectiveness. The same use of the word 'legacy' could refer to Kevin Flynn, too.

Perhaps it is a tongue in cheek reference to the Tron 2.0 video game, where you have to grab the Tron Legacy code. Which still makes no sense to me- why would a version 2.0 of some software be called the legacy code? Shouldn't that be the other way around?

I am immensely happy that there is **no** Twilight panel on Thrusday....

So many many people and more than a few Tron fans couldn't get into Hall H last year due to the crowd of "Twi-fans" whom filled up the majority of seats in the room :/

Megamind

So Megamind is in Hall H before Tron - If I were to goto that, would I be allowed to stay in Hall H between sessions?

Actually, us locals consider them to be kinda fun! It's like an unexpected free "E-ticket" ride at Disneyland. So sit back and enjoy the ride! Wink

Absolutely - and you can bet your bottom dollar that there will be a lot of people (perhaps the majority) in that Megamind panel who are really there to hang on for Tron. Heck, there are people who sit in Hall H all day.

Apologies if this was posted already (trout slap me if it was, by all means) - but here's some info on the SDCC panel, with a few quotes from Kosinski to boot: Linky

Jealous of you attendees, I tell ya.

There should be a fish for purposely posting something without a search effort knowing it could earn a trout... Razz

Saturday's schedule will be up this Saturday and Sunday will be up this Sunday.

Also, there are some cool TRON exclusives that will be offered at the show this year.

i also think we need something for us vegans..trout is just plain icky..lol

for those planning on asking questions...dont fret too much over what you are going to ask...i did the same thing once whe i attended a stargate convention..i found that the questions came to me after hearing the panel talk for a bit. just remember..the people up there..are just people...relax..joke a bit..ask them what it was like to wear all that spandex...or ask them how they trained for the role...

just have fun..while i quietly stew in the corner, whining about how i cant go..hehe

Any ideas for impromptu FL demonstrations in Hall H? Chant "Flynn Lives" after the presumed trailer? "Protest" Encom's indifference outside of the hall prior to getting into Hall H? Or just sit back and enjoy the ride?

Actually, now that I think about it, isn't Thursday the one-year-anniversary of the 2009 Flynn's Arcade opening... which in turn was the 20th anniversary of Kevin Flynn's disappearance?

Thanks for the advice. I try not to be nervous about these things, but I can't help it. Rolling Eyes
