So has anyone else been wondering why the colour changes in the background of the calenders? Hiding in plain sight and all that. Also-there are similarities between the moons and clues. I think especially interesting is 21st July - Same Moon as 22nd June AND is the date of the first lunar landing. My money's on 21st for new clues

How about simplicity as an answer..

The darker portions of the chart correspond directly to the darker moon phases, and the lighter portions correspond directly to the lighter phases..see?
The paper color becomes lighter when the moon is brighter and darker when its darker..
Voila.. Mystery solved..
Move along now..

Who Is Josh?

I don't want to pay for this service:
http://www.spokeo.com/email/search?e=hlm1963%40yahoo.com

It looks like Josh had a second title page at one time:
Hook, Line And Minker | A Blog By Josh Minker | Page 2
http://www.hooklineandminker.com/?paged=2

There's also a direct way of getting to his "Did you know-fish facts" page:
http://www.hooklineandminker.com/?page_id=10
(...as clicking the link on the Home Page doesn't work)

All his IP address searches lead to Yahoo, except for one ...
74.6.136.65 leads to: Inktomi Corporation.

Quote:
Inktomi Corporation may not be known to as many Internet users as the popular search engine portals Yahoo! or Google, but its search engine technology powers the search functions at more than 50 widely used Internet portals. From its founding in 1996, the company adopted a strategy of focusing on technology and becoming a leading supplier of Internet infrastructure technology.

However, it looks like they went belly up (?SPEC?) in 2001?

All information ends with: "For the future, CEO David Peterschmidt expected the company to return to profitability in 2002."

(and their website is bogus: http://www.inktomi.com )

Fish feeding times

I didn't want to pay for spokeo, either. Hint, hint (watch for the trout)

This site:
http://www.ezfshn.com/Tides/USA/Rhode%20Island/Quonset%20Point/july/7

makes reference to the 'Major Feeding Periods" for Quonset Point, R.I.,
and the times come close to the July calendar on the HLM site.

I know it's not the same, but got to thinking, and asked some experienced freshwater/ocean fishermen about the relation to lunar/tide charts and best time to catch fish, and said that the lunar phase/tidal heights aren't necessarily the best times to catch fish, but no consensus as to just how those times are determined.

The times for Major Feeding for July 7 were:

From: 8:45 AM To: 10:45 AM
From: 9:10 PM To: 11:10 PM

It appears the site is down, I've had at least one other person confirm it, it's been down for at least 5 minutes as of this post.

ETA: (10:42 PM EDT) It's back up, it was down for about 10 minutes from when I discovered it.

ETA2: (10:45 PM EDT) And it's back down?

yep im also confirming the site being down, but the strange thing (maybe not that strange?) is that the reason for the site not loading is that "the connection was reset", not the usual messege my computer gives me for websites not loading, or being down. hmmmm

I got that too, something's going on for sure

ETA: HLM is still loading slow and intermittently but RP appears to be working again.

RP's working fine for me, but HLM's still not working. What could they be doing to the site to cause this?
Edit: Azure beat me to RP working.

It's been doing this for at least 40 minutes now, and at most 59 minutes. I have a script running that checks the site every 20 minutes, so that limits our window.

Thought maybe this would fit with the "Rare Fish" times but I don't see a match really.

ETA: Looks like it's working again.
