Just in case anyone's actually considering buying a light-cycle, here's the ebay ad. (As my finders fee I want a ride!)

Latest chapter in the $35,000 street legal light-cycle story: Apparently it may not be such a good idea to invest in one (of only five) of these dream machines. The story is here.

Lets pretend these guys are 100% legit, the bike will be worth the cost, etc, etc...

If any of you have been on a motorcycle think about this, when a bike stops, it falls over... how the heck do you stop at a light on one of these things?

So the bike and helmet are all custom built and glow... so what now? you just wear jeans and a t-shirt? what good is all that if you dont get a working suit to go with it?

Easy, put your feet down and sit up. The riding position on the light cycle is only slightly more exaggerated than many sport bikes. If you look, the ride height of the bike is pretty low. It's no big deal to take your feet off the pegs and plant them on the ground. Also take note of how wide the tires are, and how shallow an arc the tread has as a result. Those bikes actually wouldn't turn all that well, but they'd almost stay standing on their own. I'd worry more about scraping the almost full fenders around the tires on a curve or corner.

I highly disagree with the first half of what you say. This is WAY more agressive of a position. not to mention sitting up isnt really an option when you have 3 pieces of bike wrapped around your waist. besides sitting up requires you to remove both feet from the pegs and both hands from the handles. best case senario, one of each. just seemd unsensabile to me.

Still not sure how turning works. i know i often times at more than a 45 degree angle, thus putting me closer to horizontal than vertical. this seems impossible on this bike.

The Disney Consumer Products page seems to have put up 2 more pictures of Tron merchandise:

And some more I found from another site:

In the description for the "Lightcycle baton" it says:
"This is the replica of the Light Baton from the Tron: Legacy movie. The Light Cycle Launch Baton can transform. Batteries included."
I wonder what it'll "transform" into...
