The fact that it's a Breaking Benjamin reference is a turn-off, at least for me.
Also the fact that 'the society of light' is mentioned... fffff, here I thought that they were going to take a little longer to craft their story before springing it on all of us.
Anyhow, whatever works, I guess. If this winds up being a story about a society that knows how to defend against SM I'm going to be peeved, though!

Wonder if this "Society of Light" has anything to do with the operator symbol. Like it's their insignia.

I don't know, but it was the same group that someone posted in broken English here a couple of days ago, with the partially Spanish blog. :\
Though society of light x (x) symbol is a pretty neat crossover!

Also, I'm in communication, trying to find out about email addresses or different ways to figure out what's going on.
Reading through the blog, all of the lyrics seem to have different levels of hierarchy. The ones that are bolded and italicized read:
Brian Burnley wrote:
If I had to
I would put myself right beside you
Something's getting in the way
I will try to find my place
Try to find out what makes you tick

Something's just about to break
As I burn another page
As I look the other way
Desperate, I will crawl
What have I become
Something's getting in the way
Something's just about to break
Also bolded, but not italicized:

Googling around for 'fear management blog' hasn't turned up anything for me thus far.

I haven't read it yet, but all I'm getting from this is that he's a Breaking Benjamin fan because all of those lyrics are from Diary of Jane.
I don't think I'm going to give this one a chance, honestly.

Yes, he posted the song lyrics because his wife's name is Jane and he said that it was cheesy but appropriate. Out of all of the song lyrics he hi-lighted those that I quoted.
I'm still not sure about this one, myself (the spelling, grammar, and use of punctuation are pretty atrocious and make it hard to read) but if Brian's not a native English speaker, that's forgivable. The only problem is that both Brian AND the guy who's been PMing me (
Chronos, I think?
Cronist) write in exactly the same manner and they both seem to be ESL folk... so it takes twice as long to get through the post.
Still, they're very eager to please, I think, so it may be worth waiting and solving puzzles for. I think that the game has another angle that hasn't quite been revealed yet, though whether that will make things better or worse, I'm not sure.
eta: just got a PM: societyofthelight(at)hotmail.com or societyofthelight(at)gmail.com seem to be a good way to get ahold of Cronist. He's been stressing about this Brian guy's blog and saying that we should try to communicate; he's being pretty frantic about it.

No creepy emails for Trygon.
Though I am liking where this is going. It's good to have something that involves us this directly once in a while.

From what you guys have posted, the messages seem pretty tacky, but that's just me I suppose.
I haven't gotten anything... I think it's because I responded to the last guy who was trying to lure us into a Slend-ARG... never even got a response for that though D:

I'm also not convinced of the danger that the PM seems to be yelling at us in the private messages we've been getting. >_> I mean, in character, I'm sure that it's happening... but I have no empathy for this Brian or Jane or anything. The only reason I have any empathy at all for Deimos is because it's also the name of one of the people who hang out here. XD

I sent a message to Cronist that said: Maybe I am the dark angel? no but seriously who is the dark angel? you realise that the moniker of Deimos is in reference to the greek god of fear right?
to which he replied: the one who sent you that was another deimos, he was tring to find a way to speak and be found, it has worked so i think he was succesful
i know the origin and thats not the mans name, deimo took this name out of neccesity after he was rejected by his family , its a long historyi shall share in full another day, dark angel is an alias reffered to deimos and his clothing , last time i saw, he was wearing a black robe

I thought you had forgotten to send me something, but you pulled through in the end. THANKS MAN!
Anywho; lets get to business then. Who has been taken? Is it the original owner of the Cronist account? Is it Deimos?
