i didn't see the changing letters on the badge though that leads to the countdown, weird.

It's not on the badge that pops up on the Circuit Cycles site when you qualify for it; it's on the badge that appears in your Flynn Lives profile. There's a little white dot that moves around, tracing the letters one at a time.

SDCC Panel

So, the Tron panel at SDCC goes from 11:15 to 12:45 on Thursday the 22nd. The countdown clock appears to expire on 11:30 am on Thursday, July 22nd, so I'm guessing there will be something at the panel (other than just the new trailer/footage). I'll be at SDCC this year, so I'll do my best to post here as I can. I'll have a netbook, but I understand that wireless access is a pain in the convention hall.

maybe the whole event will be live streamed for those of us who can not make it to Comic Con?

No, there is a 24hr moratorium on panel content that appears at Comic-Con.

AH! got ya, thanks Shad0. I went and looked at my profile and saw the dot moving but I couldn't make out what it was spelling. Thankfully one of the brilliant minds on here already got it. What's next?! Very Happy

79,995. Whew. 29 was a pain in the butt. Kudos to you all who found the countdown!

Do we have anyone that wants to stream the events this year, like the guy that let us watch the Encom presentation at Wondercon? That was super special awesome, and it would be a big help to us who can't travel to the left coast.

What's the chance that Disney/42E may be allowed to stream this panel by choice? What if the 11am countdown (15 mins before the panel?) is the prep for the Flynn Lives crew to spread the word that they're "covertly" broadcasting the event, like perhaps something Encom related will take place in the panel...
Basically if they've gained the rights to broadcast the panel at SDCC, this could be an "in-game" way to make it available for the public.

Then again it could just be a prep for local SDCC panel attendees to be ready for another 'interruption'. If it's before the panel, it may be a live event (and remember the Encom press event wasn't broadcast - people streamed the event themselves). So whatever happens at 11am, hopefully we'll have some people on the ground able to broadcast live again Smile

If something happens in the panel, I'd hope there's either broadcast coverage, or an online component for people not there to be a part of it.

ETA: If someone does do a live stream, I'll gladly set up 4dfiction.com/live to be a chat/video hub again. That is what it was made for Smile

That would be awesome if it was up to disney, unfortunately it's up the the SDCC event promoters, so the chances of this happening are very very slim.

I think it's just a countdown to their panel and the arcade opening. I'll be at both...

URL vs. SDCC

Remember, it's also possible that something will go live on the URL of the countdown, and it'll go live WHILE the panel is going on, meaning everyone NOT at SDCC will have first crack at it all. That could be their way of doing both.

for those of you who completed the 32 levels what happened when you finished?

I finished, got the "Circuit Pro" badge. i hit continue and nothing. so i hit menu and noticed that level 4 was not complete. i redid level 4 and got the badge again. then that was it...

I don't know if folks want me to do this for every level, but 25 has been such a misery for so many, I'm attaching the solution (or A solution anyway) below.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

level25.jpg
 Description
 Filesize   106.08KB
    97 Time(s)

Unfortunately, this file is no longer in our archives.

Just beat that one, it was a nightmare and easily the hardest so far. I've blown threw all the others before it.

Scores

Anyone cracked 100k? Also, I'm noticing that on the main menu, there seems to be no indication if you hit the center for all the targets, so other than score, I'm assuming there's no reason to do something like that. Although I am curious about being allowed to replay levels and clear them. ArcadeAid didn't do that...so perhaps there's another 999 Recognizers-type achievement?

Scores

if you hit center at every spot then crash before you end the game, soooo many times... then you'll get 100k...eventually

because apparently while you restart every time you hit something other than the spots, the game would reset your score for that level but not how many times you hit center spot.

(hope my english doesn't sucks so it'll easier to understand)

All you have to remember, is there is no time limit. Let the level load up, glance around, pick one cycle and clear that one color then repeat. Yeah there's a couple levels that takes a couple tries, but if you do it that way, you shouldn't have too much of an issue.

As far as I know, this doesn't affect your score either.
