ahhh... Der Großmann... nice tie in there!

(Der Großmann actually was a real folklore myth back in 19th and 18th centuries, but it was short lived and never really "took off" like some myths such as Nessie and Bigfoot etc... And it was in a time when folklore was bread and butter of small isolated towns across everywhere)

Still havn't finished watching, looking around for Slendy sightings.

This is a nice turn for Tribetwelve and works towards separating them from MarbleHornets somewhat. I like where this is going!

Looking good so far, and hey the german in there was actually pretty solid aside a few errors, ones you would expect from a elderly man who lived a long time in a different country though (actually listened more to the story than read the subtitles Razz).

I'm definitely impressed with this one. Karl is awesome.

I really liked this entry. I guess not having Milo there makes it a lot less boring Very Happy. When Karl was screaming "Get out!", I started to imagine him yelling "GET TO DA CHOPPA!". It's probably just me that would imagine that

Mmm, I must say this is quite an interesting turn, divorcing it from the Marble Hornets version and drawing in the original SA version. It's still to early to call the Operator symbols scattered everywhere a shout out or some kind of homage, but going with the many-armed octoman in black definitely marks it as separate from MH. Looking forward to how they'll do the arms...

Other thoughts... while it does seem to be getting better, I do feel there's still some classic TribalTwelve camp at work here (is it too soon to label this sorta thing "classic"? I don't know). Grampa Karl's somehow never met or heard of Milo. I suppose it's possible Milo is his cousin on the other side of his family from Grampa Karl. As well, Grampa Karl's not a very good actor, though that might just be the character's senility. Also, clever of them to hide Karl's face so they can dub ADR over any mistakes he might have made and preserve it as one take. Not that I'm accusing them of doing that, it's just a good way to do it.

By the way, has anyone seen Slenderman in this one yet? I suspect if he's in it, it's during the part that Grampa Karl's kicking Noah out. I'd examine those shadowy hallways and doors Noah catches sight of while being forced out. I didn't see anything, sadly.

Final thoughts... yeah, I can see this as a bit of a Just Another Fool homage, perhaps going hand-in-hand with the operator symbol and slendysickness from the first few submissions. Oh, and speaking of JAFool and (X), wanna bet that before Noah goes back home, he's going to somehow get ahold of Milo's journal, the one we saw him scrawling an operator symbol in? Next piece of the puzzle, calling it now.

This entry was actually pretty good. Having a old guy there somehow made it seem more 'real'.

Hopefully TT will turn around from here onwards.

With regards to the JAFool reference thing, something about it being in the Black Forest during the Second World War actually makes it more exciting and scary for me, possibly because of it being, as has been said before, a part of the original SA mythos blended with an infamous time.

wondering what "safe" is at the end/bottom of "my grandfather karl".
anyway, no sight of him in this one. i didn't look terribly hard, but checked the windows and dark areas. to the left of the entrance to karl's house (up the stairs inside) would have been a perfect place to stick him. that little gap where you can see into the next room.

I saw that too and paused at the last frame. There is a "NOT" at the top. I turned up the contrast and brightness, it says "NOT SAFE". Shocked
