Couldn't somebody call Southworth and determine when the paper was created though? Whats to say that the clue/customization was making the watermark info appear to be from 50's 60's, or a significant date?


We hadn't even SEEN the watermark yet when this was suggested, only the info on custom marks from the paper company. It was a suggestion made in the blind back then. Agreed it's almost certain it won't pay off IG, but we didn't know that two hours ago.

 		I think I'm going to print a copy of my scan (keeping the original) and mail it back with the individual numbers and totals of stars on the page. I've tried adding the total to the rocketpoppeteers.com url etc, and even the scariestthingieversaw.com URL. Also tried with Astronaut, AstronautProgram, realspacemenloverocketpoppeteers and more permutations. SnailMail seems the way to respond for now.

*Edit: and just to throw this out there, but the envelop has the same watermark. Twisted Evil

 		Interesting (though probably irrelevant): the stamp has "Always use ZIP code" over it, a throwback to the early days of the system when they tried to drill the concept into America's head. Nice touch of "authenticity".

Aside from adding it with /# at the end of the URL, I also tried the numbers a ports on the webside (example.com:16). Still no luck

Has anyone tried using the stars in a way similar to the X's from the original print out to see if they highlight words to form a coded message?

Someone who has the mailer should try it and see if the stars, when placed on top of the original article, fall on words.

I'm talking about the article from the STIES print out. The stars should come in contact with words in the full page of that article.

(I know, I know, the actual post office is real, while the P.O. Box is IG)

We sell Southworth Granite (watermarked 25%) Paper w/envelopes @ OfficeMax.

I think there's 140 Stars on the page.
50 - Flag on Coop's shoulder.
50 - Flag on Rocketship.
17 - (16 + 1) the small ones scattered about, and the BIG one.
22 - RP website Logo.
1 - The word "STARS"
