Re: Electrocommunication

Just to add to what I said above, this Electrocommunication found in types of rare fish, such a the Coelacanth that has a rare Rostral Organ, and the Pulse Tone recording found at STIES...

Could this possibly be something that links HLM and STIES together?

Perhaps the aliens if there is one has the same gland or ability. So he wants the fish to study the gland as you suggest.

Found reference to a player named ''The Mink'' on this card playing website, and game 18 is named ''Hook, line and Minker''. Its most likely OOG but the homepage's description of the website is quite mysterious...

See? That wasn't so bad. Smile You checked on your own initiative and that's a good thing.

There's a lot of material to catch up on, we know. Good job.

Quite possible. Perhaps the whole purpose of HLM is to give us clues about the 'aliens' abilities or characteristics. For us to realize what the Tone from STIES is. If that is indeed what it is, then it would be further 'proof' that Josh or someone else is aware of the 'aliens' existence.

Thanks, I have been following this for some time so I should have known better Laughing

As for the gland speculation, I think that's on the right track. It ties the tones, HLM and Josh's search for the Coelacanth together.

Not to mention figuring right in to an homage to CLOSE ENCOUNTERS... if this communication angle pays off.

"Play the five tones..."

Nice OOG labeling, Ras. And those are freaky creatures... it's amazing what we still discover down there, truly a frontier of unknowns still.

This isn't really anything important, but there was an australian fishing TV-program which name was Hook, Line and Sinker. Isn't there a band named something like that that where he could've changed the last word to Minker?

Sorry for my english: Sad

"Hook, line and sinker" is a common English idiom. http://idioms.thefreedictionary.com/hook,+line,+and+sinker

[TROUT][COELACANTH]

Anyone noticed that, between the 1:03 and 1:15 there is some seriously scaly Coelacanth action going on in the flashes away from the train wreck?

Also, I know this isn't supposed to be Cloverfield 2, but didn't Hud mention the Coelacanth in Cloverfield? Not at all a linkage, but maybe a certain filmmaker's obsession with the fish?
