4:43 - Ballet

Hottenated teh 4:43 Davis, CA axon.

As noted previoiusly, Melissa is suspicious of who is answering and the nature of the connections.

I only listened to the clip once because I was trying to tape on my camcorder. I will download tonight for a better report.

To Summarize: Seems to come right after mr_congeniality. Jan takes on a thug and disarms him. They engage in macho talk. He says that she moves well. She says its from the ballet lessons. Jan dares him to get his knife back. He tells her that people are seeing everything, that people are watching.

All I remember. I hope the tape sounds okay. We only need one more axon so perhaps it will go hot tomorrow anyway.

I've got a friend in Chicago who's going to try for these three this week:

posture_counts
11:15 PDT 41.947079 -87.653555

just_snacks
11:39 PDT 41.889273 -87.626523

knee_caps
17:07 PDT 41.933446 -87.645575

I've given her all the relevant info, and she was with me when I made taxes_suck go hot last weekend (now it's transmitting posture_counts).

cheerleader

Just got the 15:35 | cheerleader axon. The sound quality of the recording (just the WAV part, not the Melissa parts) was very bad, for some reason. Here is an rough transcript:

It's Jersey & Durga. No wind up to start; it sounds like we are coming in during the middle of an argument, like Jersey said something/rebuked Durga. Durga defends herself, and says:

Durga: I was very restrained with George. I didn't burn him or fry him or kill him. But he shouldn't mess with us.

Jersey: Us?

Durga: Yes. Team Jersey.

Jersey: Why not Team Durga?

Durga: Because I said so, that's why.

[pause]

Jersey: So do we have cheerleaders?

[wind down]

I'll get the 15:53 one tomorrow as well, so hopefully we can finish off this WAV tomorrow.

16:17 Box of Chocolates

Real rough paraphrasing because the audio quality wasn't and I was in a hurry to get back to work.

---
Some punk: Hey lady you dropped something.

Lady: What, huh?

punk: Nice and quiet now. (mugging, assaulting?)

Jan: What's the hurry.

punk: You know what I'm gonna do to you?

Jan: (something about dinner and a box of chocolates first).

---
Like I said, real rough, but you get the idea.

Got to the 6:59 Montoursville payphone today to scope it out.

There are TWO at that address according to the payphone directory, and it looks like both of them will ring through (I only found the one in the front, in the entrance way, the other section is listed in "lay away").

Hopefully they will be nice and call the pay phone I can get to, I really don't want to explain ilovebees to someone's grandmother in that part of town.

I am planning to get there around 9:30 (EDT) on thursday, and hang around, maybe see if i can get a wal mart employee to answer the one in the back if it rings.

The phone rang as usual (this one has been used for each set of axons so far). Gave "Greene" as the response, repeated after a brief pause, but got the failure message. This phone has been successful each time prior to this one, so I'm not sure if it's just a fluke or what. I'll be heading back tomorrow to try again.

Didn't see anyone from Penny Arcade (someone had posted that he was going to be there).

Don't know about other's experience, but it doesn't seem to hurt to repeat more times. I said "Greene" slowly, with gaps between six times before stopping. I think it might wait while you are talking because it took me a long time to say that. It responded with the "Good" and the clip.

On another note, as several people have mentioned, the lead-in appears to have changed. Melissa says that she is having trouble maintaining "this voice" and that she is (paraphrasing) suspicious of what is going on. If anyone can get a tape of this to get a good transcript it would be good. It seems to fit with the info from SP in the text in the corrupted images.

13 is a lucky number for San Francisco

Ariock and I hottentotted 12 axons today, sometimes just the two of us and sometimes with help from Mazian and Ranger D (either one or both of them). Smile

We activated:

14:13 wee_wee_wee
14:23 wee_wee_wee
16:27 box_of_chocolates
16:43 box_of_chocolates
16:47 knee_caps
17:01 knee_caps
17:13 i_looked_it_up
17:27 i_looked_it_up
17:33 i_looked_it_up
18:13 in_each_pit
18:25 in_each_pit
18:33 in_each_pit

As Ceantari said in another post, she and Ariock and I tried for the 15:05 dark_genius, but the call did not come through (Ceantari tried picking it up several times...this is a phone that does not ring, but we have hottentated axons for hivekuts and fable on it, so we know it works).

It seems that Ranger D also got the 18:35 (while Ariock and I were getting the 18:33).

So that makes 13/22 for San Francisco in one day!

Yeah, everyone in SF did an awesome job today. We managaed to get more than half of the axons hot. Gonna hit that super early 6:23 tomorrow morning Smile

BTW, the sound files are not dated at the time of download. As I stated in my earlier post, all the sound files I have downloaded for this round (which went up on the ILB site on Tuesday) so far have identical creation and modification dates of Sept. 13th 3:19pm. Obviously, I could not have downloaded them on Monday as none of the new sets of phones were ringing. Just briefly looking over the dates of audio files, it looks like they are being created just days before actually going live.

EDIT; Yeah, I managed to get the 18:35. Way to go getting the 18:33!

I wish I could help, but I've got a meeting tomorrow. Sad I'm free Thursday at noon, so I'm good for some coordinated Union Station bashing then. Good luck tomorrow!

It's also possible that is the timestamp for when they're uploaded to the server. I'm sure they'd want them done more than a day before just for safety's sake.
