it kind of always bothered me that the website's name was hook, line, and minker, refering to the idiom hook, line, and sinker. KInd of like saying that we're gonna fall for this "hook, line, and sinker"...just makes me feel a bit unsure of the website...

Bothered by the HLM reference

Know how you feel. The whole fishing (as for clues), red herring, hook, line and sinker things were for me, a little suspicious at first, but to find a pillbox hat with the bows folded over the rim (appearing to be a perfect match with the hat in the STIES photo--I know the monkey brooch/pin has been repositioned) on craigslist was the convincer for me.

I still don't understand what the professed fascination for a fish that cannot be kept in captivity (and yet from reading Josh's blog, that's what he claims to want) has to do with anything, but I'm certain we'll know doubt find out eventually.

Also, I know this isn't supposed to be Cloverfield 2, but didn't Hud mention the Coelacanth in Cloverfield? Not at all a linkage, but maybe a certain filmmaker's obsession with the fish?

So first off, have a trout:

And as this is the fourth time this has been brought up, you've earned a coelacanth of your own:

Reconsider eating your coelacanth

Green Anarchist;

You may want to reconsider eating your newly acquired specimen of the deep, for as the following state:

http://www.jocara.net/JIOQ/Research/Coelacanth/coelacanth.html
"The Coelacanth is not good to eat; too oily, apparently." Sad

and

http://www.ioltravel.co.za/article/view/3549358
"What not to do
Celebrate yet another coup with a plate of barbecued coelacanth." Mad

However, if you're having a problem with regularity, consider this: Embarassed

http://www.unexplainable.net/artman/publish/article_6959.shtml
"The coelacanth is also known as mucilaginous, which means their scales is able to release mucus that allows them to continuously seep oil. The oil is actually a laxative, which makes the fish impossible to eat unless it has gone through a drying and salting process."

I'm with Xeno Lambrose on this, at first I felt a little hesitant but believe fully that it's IG. Here's my only problem with it now, what if JJ and Co are telling us that we fell for something Hook Line and Sinker? JJ does reference magic a lot so what if this is all a "Slight of hand?" OH NO! What if the Cloverfield people are right? Shocked

Sorry, couldn't resist. I am sure it will be something different and exciting and I hope "IT" will be worthy of the scariest thing ever seen.

I think that HLM is just to establish Josh as a regular run o the mill nerdy fish collecting schmoe who happens to become involved with this story out of the blue.

See, now I have a replacement for my morning cup of coffee. A coelacanth biscuit! TMI?

Electro stuff

The thing in the trailer became alive after the electric pole fell on the box car. Hard to believe that it would have been dormant up to this point. Just pointing it out.

...and woke up instantly and began beating down the door?

This theory was put forth on day one of the release of the trailer...

That was 2 1/2 months ago..

Do you really think you could watch the trailer and discover this amazing idea and that nobody here had ever noticed that after all this time??

Now, had you taken the time to read up and see where we are before posting, you wouldnt have needed to post.
...and, you wouldnt have posted this in the wrong thread as well...
