 		The smoke stack matches as well, at least in the coloration. I'm pretty sure it's the same place. Now we have a name.

And I agree kinda hope it wasn't the PM. But if we where missing something important I guess I can live with it.

Anyhow, looking over past posts, and rewatching the videos, and talking to my sister and getting her involved (lol) I've noticed a few things.

In the first Attic Tape, the clicking noise followed by darkness and the camera refocusing sounds like that tool that an optometrist uses to test your eyes. You know the one, "one... and two... which is better?"

Also, the grating noise and uneven spinning he mentioned in his dream seem to go along with the theory that the thing shown at the end of the second attic tape (with the noise) is one of those spinning vents. Maybe we're looking for a room with one of those? Maybe someone died there, which is why there's a rotting/blood smell.

Also also, the time-jump theory seems to be making more and more sense. If anyone read The Dionaea House this might make more sense.
In the story, the house exists at multiple places at once.
Here, it would seem to exist at multiple points in time simultaneously.
Maybe this will turn into some sort of Quantum Physics nightmare. Let's hope not.

Then again, it could well indeed turn out Shutter Island style, where he was the one doing it the entire time. (it's been said before, I'm just refreshing the idea) He could have edited the video after the fact, and not remember for some reason. He could really just be crazy.He could be the one who shot the Attic Tapes in the first place. Obviously the psychosurgeon didn't film them.

EDIT: Reading AGAIN again, I think that what everyone was saying about the voice being his and everything is probably right. Every time theres a major post, he "goes on vacation"; he said the spinning noise at the end of the tape reminded him of when he was in the attic; and other things.

Just had a thought. Maybe he has split personalities? The dream about "taking a friend into the attic", as well as the theory that he's doing things and forgetting about it seems to lend itself to that idea.

I think next time he goes into the attic, things will get a lot weirder.

 		Alright so I was going over the info we have about the school and the doctor.

First off the doctor was in the house for about ten years according to Matt's neighbor:

From what my neighbor remembers, this man was already pretty old when he moved in. Somewhere in his sixties.....My neighbor doesn't know why the man moved out or where he would go (as the man was in in his seventies by the time he moved out)


Second we can assume the doctor didn't move out when the school closed:

He told me he would try his best to remember because this man lived her a long time ago.

The Belchertown State School for the Feeble-Minded was established in 1922 in Belchertown, Massachusetts. It became known for inhumane conditions and poor treatment of its patients, and became the target of a series of lawsuits prior to its eventual closing in 1992.


Thirdly the doctor was a psychosurgeon both the school and psychosurgery came under scrutiny about the same time.

So what does this give us?

I would hazard a guess that the doctor moved out in the 50's or early 60's. Partly because of the age of the neighbor. If he's in his 70's now he was born some time in the 40's, so would have been living there during the 50's and part of the 60's. He stated he moved back in after his parents died, so I would guess the 80's for that. Because he stated that the doctor lived there "a long time ago" it would probably would not have been the 80's or 90's... no one in their 70's would call that "a long time ago"

So we can assume that the doctor did not record the images on the tape, the camera could have been from the late 90's maybe, but certainly not the 50's or 60's. Which means it was one of the previous owners of the house. Or if you go with the time travel thing, Matt himself.

Ok yeah think that's all for now, not much help but some info in one place.

 		I do think the psychosurgery angle makes the time warp theory less likely, tbh. But who knows.

 		I agree. I gave up my time travel theory when the psychosurgeon was introduced. Those two concepts don't seem to mix well. It's Still a possibility though.

 		By the way, this https://www.samstores.com/details.asp?ProdID=10842 or one of its sister products is the camera Matt used, judging by the picture of it in the box. Since IG it can play and record tapes, and OOG/IRL it's a digital cam that records to SD card and DVD, we can't use it to establish a timeline for the video taping. We could ask Matt what make and brand name the camera is IG, though.

 		I think the camera could perhaps be useful in determining timeline, other than that I think it's mostly an incidental prop. What I'm curious about is, how long was the house empty before Matt moved in?
