Name: Jack Harrison
Age: 21
Physical Description: Tall (6'5) with a skinny-muscular build. Shaggy brown hair covers his head, with bangs swept to the right and out of his eyes. Slight beard stubble. Wears typical urban clothing, mainly jeans, t-shirts, leather/jean jackets, and Nikes.
Personality Description: Funny and outgoing. Constantly makes smartassed/witty cracks, which others have different views over. Serious when the circumstances require.
Equipment: Carries a digital video camera and an iPhone, along with a flashlight and a 9mm pistol secluded in his jacket at most times.
Other Info: Runs his own blog which few read, along with a YouTube channel. Has been hiding from Him for about 2 months.

Name: Davey Swann
Age: 17
Physical Description: Roughly 6' and average build. Medium length brown hair that curls at various spots. Clean shaven. Often found wearing sweats and a comfortable shirt and a pair of adventure torn feiyues. Has multiple scars from parkour.
Personality Description: A facade of lightheartedness and humor hides away the complex emotion in his mind. Thoughts about the current Slender situation, love, and the changing of things.
Backpack contents: Camera and tons of batteries for it. Has a flashlight taped to the camera for night shooting, but can detach it for other things. Carries various knifes for self defense. Also contains first aid kit, banana for moving away hair, and M.R.Es in case of emergency. Usually keeps back back straps loose for no reason, but tightens when on the run.
Other Info: Runs his own blog which few read, along with a YouTube channel. Has been hiding from Him for only a short while, but has lost all sense of time other than night and day.

Name: Casimir Hayes
Age: 21
Physical Description: About five foot six, scrawny build. Long-ish black hair; greasy. Green eyes that dart around at random interval; one eye is slightly mismatches from the other in pupil size. Wears a long-sleeved black shirt (label-less), and linen trousers. Leathers gloves over hands.
Personality Description: Obsessive, introspective narcissist. Think "twerp with shades of asshole." That's him.
Equipment: A pair of brass knuckle dusters and the knowledge of how to use him.
Other Information: Has no memory of Him, but can feel something approaching him from the corner of his eye; somewhat scared of the dark due to this.

Name: Neil Spencer

Age: 16 (looks closer to 19)

Physical Description: Around 6 foot 4, with stocky build. Not very fit, but will push himself to exhaustion if he's determined or has to. Short-medium length brown hair, curly. Bad case of sideburns in progress, due to lack of regular shaving. Wears a grey woolen jumper (with hood, pockets and flashlight clip), long sleeve shirt and trousers. Wears a watch other people can't read. Short-sighted, wears glasses.

Personality Description: Mostly laidback, but beginnings of paranoia setting in. Sometimes acts like a dick (unintentionally), but generally okay. Shy around women in short-term. Likes antique equipment (clockwork, Polaroid, etc.)

Backpack contents: Cameras (handycam(plus batteries and cards for it),tape recorder(for detection - includes tapes) old Polaroid (SX-70, with film)), flashlight, Swiss Army knife, first aid kit, various toiletries, foods and documentations (in notebooks). Carries in shoulder bag ("manbag"). Carries golf club (just in case) on strap clips.

Other Info: Is making a mockumentary on Slender Man. Hasn't quite realised he is being hunted by SM, but getting there. Just came back from location scouting.

Name: John Slater

Age: 24

Physical Description: 6'5, lanky looking but fit. short ash brown hair, seemingly permanent 5 o'clock shadow. Olive military style jacket, grey cargo pants. Wears sunnies. Scar on the right side of his jaw line.

Personality Description: Angry and cynical, slightly unstable. Never heard of slenderman.

Equipment: Satchel holding binoculars, knife and notebook.

Other Info: Vagabond, originally employed as a hunter, occasionally of humans. Searching for his brother.

Name: Ashley Higgens

Age: 14

Physical Description: Ashley's a lanky girl who looks a little younger than her age. She has long, dishwater blonde hair that is often kept back with braids or pigtails and hair-bands or barrets, an open face with large, brown eyes, and freckles across her upturned nose and cheeks. She wears pearl studs in her ears, and tends to wear tight jeans, baggy shirts, and puffy black shoes that have never seen the surface of a skateboard, even if they look like they were made to go with one. Currently her jeans are ripped at the knee from a recent accident, though she always seems to be wearing bandaids or sport scrapes and scabs from trips and tumbles.
Personality Description: An accident prone girl who is completely uninterested in the world of growing up. She's an outdoors sort of person who, being a single-child and a latch-key kid to boot, will usually take off walking in a direction and and go for hours. Being born in a small town has meant that she doesn't see much risk in running away or being on her own, a sentiment with which her parents apparently agree! Ashley has more friends who are boys than those who are girls, the latter having plunged through puberty into boy-band posters and cell phones and cigarettes (at least in some cases) and looking pretty. She would prefer to hurl insults and maybe get into a scuffle than to use the sly, underhanded tactics that her female classmates employ.

Equipment: Ashley doesn't carry much with her, ever. Instead of writing in a journal or making collages she prefers to hit the road when she's feeling angsty and maybe get into a yelling match with her friends. The many stories that she makes up for people she sees in town stay inside her head.

Other Info: She's a local, and to her knowledge has never been stalked by Slender Man. She's heard of him via classmates going on about him, using him as a reason to explain the disappearances of a few children over the past decade or so. Ashley is more inclined to believe her parents explanation: a bad economy leads to people moving out of town on a regular basis. Besides, she's never seen anyone wearing a business suit in the woods, even if the thought does freak her out.

Name: Bri Burns (sometimes goes by BeeBee.)
Age: 20
Physical Description: Short and relatively unimposing. Pale, dark eyes, small nose and quirky mouth. Has a thing for outlandish clothes, but she only packed sensible ones since this is supposed to be a business trip. Her bus-riding outfit is a plain white Tshirt and jeans, nothing exciting. Dyed-black hair, cut short. All in all she's pretty forgettable physically. She DOES have a tattoo, but it's on her hip so most people never see it.
Personality Description: . A daydreamer and an artist type. Slight social anxiety and has a hard time talking to people, but once the conversation get rolling she opens up quite a bit. She's prone to worrying and imagining the worst possible thing that could happen, but she usually manages to talk herself down from it. She takes anti-anxiety meds to help combat this, too. She's afraid of large crowds and packed-in spaces, and has slight claustrophobia. Aside from all this she's a pretty cheerful person day to day who is constantly thinking how she could use her surroundings as some sort of art piece. She can be a little eccentric once she stops being shy.
Equipment: Since she's supposed to be riding up to Toronto for a meeting with a possible employer, not much. Her portfolio full of art which she's reluctant to show anyone. A digital camera with a new memory card which she was planning to fill with pictures from Toronto. A relatively old but reliable cell phone- the kind that you could throw under a bus without damaging it. A week's supply of her medicine. A sketchbook with a few drawings in it, a small knife which she's convinced she won't need, a map of Toronto, a copy of her favorite book and her slightly outdated off-brand mp3 player, complete with headphones. Also her suitcase of clothes, but that's not exactly going to help anything.
Other Info: She's supposed to be going for a job interview for a possible apprenticeship with an artist in Toronto, so she's going to be relatively upset about breaking down in some little dinky town. She's heard of slenderman but is convinced he's an urban legend, just like candyman or bloody mary. She grew up in a small town, however, and actually prefers them to big cities since there's far less risk of being crushed to death in a crowd in small towns. She's not very fit, physically, preferring to think her way out of a tough spot if possible. When it comes to running or lifting heavy things she's terrible, though she's a decent tree climber. She's also a pretty strong swimmer.

Name: Jeremiah Watson (Goes by 'Jeremy' or sometimes 'Wat')
Age: 23 years old
Physical Description:Jeremiah is a lanky, thin individual with a small frame but broad shoulders. He isn't much in the way of musculature, and generally doesn't engage himself in anything more physical than the occassional walk in the park. Jeremy's thin frame is made up for by a very wise, very charming facial appearance, with very short-cropped hair and a goatee. He sports rectangular-rimed glasses over sparkling brown eyes, and has a kind, if somewhat paranoid, appearance.
Usually Jeremy wears a blue jean jacket, which adds bulk to his slender figure and looks nice, to boot. His attire on his way in to town includes this jacket, along with a long-sleeved, black sweater and a pair of black jeans, plu ssneakers. He also carries his small-ish back pack, which contains a plethora of items personal to him.
Personality Description: Jeremiah is a quiet man, but that doesn't mean he doesn't have much to say. Always one to speak when spoken to, he is quick to open up to a stranger and discuss whatever they may wish to converse with him about- so long as it isn't terribly personal to him or th eother person in question.
Kind and wise, Jeremy was known in his hometown as being a rather social, if strange, sort of person. He tended to frequent bars with his friends and speak openly about his political and social views when prodded. After a long bout of writers block and un-provoked frustration with himself and his writing career, however, Jeremy decided to vacation in a small town for a while, as a change of pace. He boards the bus to Toronto, not intending to end up there, and hopefully get himself back on track...
Equipment: Jeremy keeps only a few personal items in his back pack, since it cannot carry much and he had been expecting to stay small town for only a short amount of time. Among other things, he carries his ideas notebook, for jotting down what springs in to his head at a moment's notice, as well as a full-fledged writing notebook for fleshing out fuller ideas. Deciding to take pictures of his vacation for posterity, Jeremy packed a small camera for the trip. He also brought $1000 in cash, and a check book, just in case.
Other Info: Jeremy has been suffering from extreem anxiety and frustration lately, making him temperamental and touchy. Friendly attempts to inquire into th enature of this behavior has been mostly fruitless...

Name: Thalci Varner (pronounced Thal-Chee)
Age: 22
Physical Description: 5' 8" with dark brown hair that falls down to her shoulders. She has deep green eyes and a small-but-noticeable scar on her right cheek. Lean and muscular with a slight tan. Right now she's wearing a dark blue T-shirt under loose black jacket with brown cargo pants.
Personality Description: Keeps to herself most of the time, but is not particularly antisocial. Likes to read and write and always carries a book or two with her wherever she goes. Although she's not very talkative, she enjoys the company of others.
Equipment: A backpack with a journal, a few books, writing notebook, pens and pencils, food, money, and a first aid kit. She also carries a Swiss army knife in her pocket.
Other Info: Thalci Varner is not her real name. She changed it to the name of a character she had once made up after running away from her old life. She has purposely forgotten most of her traumatic past, and is wandering the country looking for some place to start over again.

Name: Adrian McCormak
Age: 24
Physical Description: Tall, around 5'11-6' or so, with short, but thick, curly black hair. He has black eyes, and has quite pale skin, despite going outside a lot. He is wearing what he wore to work three days a go. A black tie and black suit coat, along with black pants.
Personality Description: Angry, disgruntled, mean, etc. Even as a kid he was distant, and over the years he has barely changed. Very much a know-it-all, he looks down on most people.
Equipment: 7 Cigarettes, a lighter, and a revolver he got from his closet.
Other Info: He is extremely smart, although he usually acts like an ass. Has a serious addiction to cigarettes, and his wife was the last one who can calm him down. Known to keep away from others, many avoid him as often as possible due to his terrible personality. Has a decently low voice for someone his age, and coughs quite a bit.

Name: Joshua Timothy "J.T." Nelson
Age: 21
Physical Description: Five foot eight, one hundred and fifty pounds. Dark shaggy hair, hazel eyes, long nose and a lopsided grin. Hasn't shaved in two or three days. Bit of a build to his chest and arms, but is not very physically fit. What he lacks in strength he makes up for in agility; he is very fast and has plenty of endurance. Your typical city kid.
Personality Description: Acts and talks like a tough guy, but his heart is in the right place. Always wants to help someone he feels is in trouble. Loyal to his close friends, skeptical of everyone else. Has a dry sarcastic wit and a pessimistic view of the world. Always tries to find a way to solve a problem. A loud gum chewer. When he is encountered with something he finds interesting, he will scour the Internet for information until he is close to being an expert on the subject matter. Enjoys video games and playing paintball with his cousins. Tends to be a ghost; people often won't realize he is there until he speaks up.
Equipment: Laptop, aluminum baseball bat, four packs of gum, boone hat, high school cross country jacket, wallet, cell phone, sling-on bag.
Other Info: Heard about Marble Hornets through a friend. Looked all over the Internet for information regarding Slender Man, unknowing that the very entity is looking right back...

Is this going to turn in to the army swooping in and Slender Man destroying the entire city? That really turned me off of the first RP. Are you looking for characters to interact together, or is it more like you're going to have us posting against someone who is playing Slender Man and NPC's?

The reason I'm putting everyone in Toronto is for character interaction.

Also, players will be able to control most NPCs (as long as they're not screwing everything up) aswell as Slenderman, as he is known to be in multiple places at once/teleport around.

EDIT: Oh, and no. No military prescences. Perhaps a police officer at most, however this will be a low-key-don't-get-others-involved setting.

I'd be willing to give this a try, but that depends on what kind of RP this is going to be. Just some quick questions;

a) Does each player have control over their individual "Slender Man"? By which I mean, does each character control their own haunting, or does one person (i.e. you, Gatto) do all the control of Slender Man?
b) What are the "limits" that our characters can have? I'm assuming that you aren't allowing Mr. Strahm/Superman/Batman hybrid characters who eat Slendermen for lunch?
c) How much character interaction, scale of one-to-ten?

They mentioned that each person controls their own Slender Man, and it looks like the emphasis was on character interaction between haunted characters. Seeing as how he's keeping the military out, I'd assume that he's looking for realistic characters.

maybe you shouldn't do it in Toronto cause its a giant city and through thats good for hide n seek you should try that fits more with slendy. Maybe it should take place in the great Chicago fire now that would be cool of course then you would have to look up history and get it right.

The sprawl of Toronto makes it hard to have a reason for characters to ever come in contact with one another, but given how people tend to balk against making locals (they'd rather make their cool character from X far-away place) it does seem like a better bet.

Rural towns make more sense for Slender Man-stalking seeing as how they're closer to his preferred lurking grounds, the trees,(Ontario IS good for trees... and pretty much ONLY trees, after a fashion!) but again, it makes less sense to have an exotic character have a reason to be there.

You could go back in time to the Halifax Explosion of 1917; I'll bet that nobody really knows what that's about, so nobody would have to feel guilty about not appeasing the history buff. (In short, it was a blast roughly the size of an early nuclear bomb that leveled half the city during the first world war, caused by a ship fire aboard a vessel carrying a metric fucktonne of explosives.) Things could be tweaked to include a Slender Man pretty easily, thar, and give reason for all kinds of crazy characters to be involved, given that Halifax was a pretty smokin' (no pun intended) port for wartime shipments.

...Though that's probably going in to too much detail right thar. XD

As for some rural town; maybe it's a bunch of people on a bus, that just happens to pass through a rural town; bus breaks down, everyone gets out so they can repair it, then the midden hits the fan?

As for going back in time: bit problematic, since most people here would just take 21st century values and transplant them into 1917, unless that's a deliberate plot device! Time travelling Slendy!
