Jumping right in here.
The "Standard" piece of paper is dated July 6th 2168 (only noticed that AFTER trying to calculate the date using the news of a solar eclipse ... which will in fact happen on July 5th that year: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solar_eclipse_of_July_5,_2168 )
Using the info of the 158 year old woman, that woman would be being born this year. In fact, about 2 weeks ago.
Also the domain standardnews.co.uk isn't even registered (a bit risky if you ask me ...).
Mysterious. And looking a bit dead-endish.

Okay, this might be the cheesiest IG character i have ever experienced but we are now consulting a professor in response to the whole Time Travel question. Bea, via the forum, has forwarded us to a facebook profile of a Professor A. von Croft. No this is not a joke (besides the inevitable facepalm from the pun)
Anyway, feel free to add him at this link:

We are questioning him on the discussion board at the moment

Agreed! I laughed out loud when I saw the profile pic. But, he is the crazy professor, so style is probably not his thing

Guess that must be how professors style their hair 150 years from now... *shudder!*

Apparently so nighthawk!!
So it seems like there is a new mission by the Prof. We have to go back to the pics to try and find what is missing from pic to pic, and report back to him.

So Liave noticed something; a puzzle piece missing right where the newspaper appeared, so I showed them pics and asked them to look into it.

BTW, the name of the photo WITH the puzzle piece starts with 1907, while the one without starts with 2007. Not yet entirely convinced that the time stamps are OOG...

There's also a different pamphlet on the table by the vase where we 'found' the birthday card in the later sets of pics. I think there's an air raid precaution booklet there on the first set of pics, and then on the later set it's the birthday card...

Ana took a pic of what was behind the washboard in the Brewhouse. It looks like another newspaper with QR codes. I noticed that some letters are underlined by a red mark.
First page:
Niymnheoose
Second page:
gstsutswpiesosiamrlpitce
and under "Looking for work?" the numbers 1 2 3 4 5 are written with a red pen

So, anyone else planning to submit anything to the Banners and Logos 'contest'? I've whipped up a couple of things, using pics from the facebook page, but it's nothing more fancy than what's already there - just a little cropping, some resizing and text added...
I hope someone else (with more image manipulating skills than me?) submits something too... I'd feel a little stupid being the only one.

How about code-breaking, then?
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
There's some underlined letters and numbers in the second "Standard" from the future - see the 'brewhouse' thread
and I could really use some help with figuring them out. I've tried ROT-13, but no luck...and that's pretty much how far my skills stretch as a code-breaker. I think it might be some kind of box code, but I have no idea what kind.

Yeah, I tried all the ROTs too as below, but I'm pretty useless at codes as well.
http://www.unfiction.com/resource/rot-it/
Anagrams yield way too much
http://wordsmith.org/anagram/
unless we can figure out a keyword that should be in the message; I tried 'home', 'money', 'past' 'future', 'museum'...
too short to do a frequency analysis...
hmmm
downloaded a QR code reader to try some of these, but they seem to be the same as the others; they give a website that doesn't exist. Maybe this is going to come into play later; can't figure out why go to the trouble of creating all these bogus QR codes...
