Yeah, I think the Arcade stuff is going to all go for LOTS of cash. The poster with DAYS left on it is already up over $100! Insanity. But I learned my lesson last SDCC. Don't bid on ANYTHING right now. Wait a few months and the stuff will be down to nothing. The FLYNN LIVES posters were going for well over $100 a pop and tokens sometimes over $50. Three months later and I got a poster and token for $50 total. I know it's hard. But... patience!

Agreed. I told myself that the wristband was so unique, it would not show up in the future. I have been lucky at what I have gotten so far anyway. Although about a month ago I did manage to score an full reel of 35mm film of the first trailer! Shocked

Amen to that! I am now picking up SDCC 2009 stuff I wanted last year for issue price. I've bought stuff to resell, but I always started them at, or just below what I paid and let people decide how much they wanted to spend. I did it for the people who COULDN'T attend the Event, and not to retire on. As for Freebies. I start them cheap. I just listed an INCEPTION Token Top on eBay, hopefully I can raise money for some TRON stuff. That's what I do, recycle collections to fund the new one!

Yeah, I got the long trailer for the first film a couple of years back with the green NSS band still wrapped on it and it is one of my most prized possessions! Been a projectionist for fifteen years and it's great to make up trailer rings of old films (when I have a projector at my disposal) and sit back to relive your childhood on the big screen from time to time. Very Happy

Cool moment from yesterday: I wandered by the TRON: Legacy booth after failing to get into the Hall H panel. Garrett Hedlund was there, posing for photographs in full Sam Flynn TRON gear. In between photos, he happened to glance in my direction... his eyes dipped down a bit as he read my FLYNN LIVES shirt... and then he looked back up and gave an acknowledging smile and nod. Smile

He's dreamy, I mean, whoa cool!

This is SOOOOO true.

But it was nice what we got to see him kickboxing/shirtless in this ARG. Thanks 42 Entertainment! Razz

Any tips on how to preserve it? I've been desperately trying to find a way to get it sealed up, been googling but I can't find much without spending a small mint. It is one of my prized collectibles as well!

Mind if I ask where? I have an old 8mm/super 8 projector but can't find films for it (except at ridiculous prices on ebay). What I really want to get are some of the old school films we all used to watch in science andhealth class and such. Any idea where i could pick those up?

If you know anyone who has access to a 35mm projector, I've found the best way to keep trailers up is to run them at least once every couple of years. That trailer is on acetate film so it's still prone to some of the hardening and buckling that polyester film is pretty much free of. (Though it isn't nitrate so you don't have to worry about it catching fire on you. Wink ) I would just exercise it (either run it on a projector or squeeze it in your hand to make sure it is loose) from time to time to keep it from hardening. Store it in a cool environment free of heat and humidity and make sure it isn't wrapped too tight. But again, if you have the means, I'd definitely recommend running it through a projector with a trusted projectionist (don't want to get it scratched!) to keep it nice and spry. Smile

I've found all of my trailers and reels on ebay personally. Even bought a 35mm German print of Wild Wild West a couple years ago. Why? Who knows. But I know I'll get a laugh with it at some point in the future and it was only like $40. Razz

For those of you still in San Diego stop by Cindy's booth in the Sails Pavilion AA32 today. She'll be there from 2:30 to 7PM and at AA28 from 10AM to 1PM. Looking forward to meeting TRON fans and Cindy Morgan supporters!

Reading this thread and looking at some of the ebay listings, I do wonder how some people get themselves setup to get so many exclusives to make money on.

Such as:

http://shop.ebay.com/sarowfloww/m.html?_nkw=tron&_sacat=0&_odkw=&_osacat=0&bkBtn=&_trksid=m270

They have Runners, or family members and friends who are sent to stand in the lines, do the scavenger hunts, etc for them so they can turn around and have the items up in their booth or on eBay by later in the day. I know some dealers will pay you to go through the lines to get them stuff.

Buahahahahahahahaha! ONLY $120.00!! Then again, there's another set offered for the BARGAIN price of $99.00 BIN.

It's starting to look like that if you get a ticket and get to visit the arcade, they are handing out the coins and holders now. That's nice to know, means more out there to try for I guess. How many do you guys think they minted of those coins? 5? 10? 15000 sets?

Looks like we all might get some tokens if they're handing out that many of them
