ENCOM Video Games
(Complete list)

Just how many video games that Encom has made do we have any info on? Just from the post cards we have:

( 1 ) Vice Squad
( 2 ) D-Con 4
( 3 ) Astro Gunner
( 4 ) Space Paranoids (we can actually play this one now)
( 5 ) Kraz-Bot
( 6 ) Arc Wars
( 7 ) Circuit Cycles (we can play this one too)

There is also:

( 8 ) TRON (I assume the game made by Bally Midway is the same one we are to believe was made by Encom... correct?)
( 9 ) Proton Bombers (mentioned here http://www.arcadeaid.com/parts.htm)
(10) Intruder (mentioned here http://www.encominternational.com/catalogue.htm)
(11) Laser Maximus (mentioned here http://www.encominternational.com/catalogue.htm)
(12) Matrix Blaster (mentioned here http://www.encominternational.com/catalogue.htm)
(13) Code Wars (mentioned here http://www.encominternational.com/catalogue.htm)
(14) Gravitron X (mentioned here http://www.encominternational.com/catalogue.htm)
(15) The End (mentioned here http://encomgames.jp/games.htm)

Are there others? Has the info we know about each ever been collected together in one place? If so please point me to it. If not lets post what we know in this thread.

This appears to be a fan made project... at least at the moment.

Thanks,
Carl

It is but isn't. The cabinet is real, although not officially a Disney product (yet). Check bottom of this post here: http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=29956&start=15

Thanks, I've updated the first post.

Any others that are actually playable? They should make all these and have them at Flynn's Arcade.

How about other info like release dates, lead programmer, high scores, number of units sold, cabinet graphics, etc? Anything official...

Carl

Other points of interest. Add to the list? Maybe? Don't know, prob not but also probably games and stuff you didn't know before. I also like 42E got a mention and credited with "Space Paranoids"

Sequels

* Discs of Tron (1983): arcade game which was originally intended as a fifth segment of Tron but was left out because programming was not finished in time[1]. In it, the player engages in disc throwing combat, similar to the film sequence. This did get limited release in arcades and stores in NJ, NY, etc.

Armagetron Advanced icon

* Tron 2.0 (2003): first-person shooter computer game sequel with a new Light Cycle design by Syd Mead who had also designed them for the film.
o Tron 2.0 Killer App (2004): a port of Tron 2.0 as videogame to Xbox and Game Boy Advance with significant changes to the game. The Xbox version features new multiplayer modes. In the Game Boy Advance version there are Tron and Discs of Tron included.
* Space Paranoids (2009): arcade game with joystick and ball controls, created by 42 Entertainment for the 2009 San Diego Comic Con.

[edit] Other

* Videogame series for Mattel's Intellivision console:
o Tron: Deadly Discs (1982): based on the disc throwing combat in the film Tron. Has also been released for Atari 2600[4].
o Tron Maze-a-Tron
o Tron Solar Sailer
* Open-source computer games released under GNU General Public License via download for multiple platforms:
o Armagetron Advanced: based on the Light Cycle game from the film Tron.
o GLtron: based on the Light Cycle game from the film Tron.
o KTron: another game based on the Light Cycle game from the film Tron. KTron is one of the KDE Games distributed as part of the K Desktop Environment (KDE).
* A legally licensed Tron game is available for the Tomy Tutor computer, but it was only released in Japan and is unrelated. In the USA, however, for copyright reasons this game was retitled as Hyperspace.[5]
