Google maps aren't live. That pic was probably taken years ago
Yes, but since he asked us to find him for the next clue, it seems that unless he actually expects us to go to NH for a drop, that it'd be internet-related. He may have checked the image ahead of time and planned based on what was showing. His map leads us to believe he's using Google, in any case.

Thanks for all the congratulations, was really just a lucky search on google...

That is exactly the case. He's walking across America leaving dead drops in various places.

It took me a while to dig up the map you were referring to but I think this is it
http://www.sec-reg.com/theroadman/?p=6
And I agree with AW and others that there will be drops along the way. Honestly, I'm not sure that he truly is on the road. He left at around 5 am and according to his Facebook page and blog update he's gone 50 miles already. 50 miles is a long way to walk and 9 hours is a very short amount of time to walk it. It should have taken more like 16 hours of straight walking.

Also says on his tumblr he's looking to hitchhike...I think he is on the road but not necessarily walking the whole way.

I will be walking/biking (maybe hitch hiking if the weathers bad enough though i personally don't want to get near a car until i'm done)
So I dunno...

Too bad if he's making dead drops all along the way... That leaves me out entirely, since he's nowhere near my location. Also, that doesn't exactly jive with the puzzle vibe of the first email and hints on his site.

Well he says specifically on facebook that he walked it. He may be on his bike, though. If he was actually able to get a bike before he left then I can't imagine he wouldn't use it.

It also makes the time more realistic, since 50 miles in 9 hours is cake on a bike, especially with breaks.

These were his exact words on Facebook, though
Quote:
Sore. Taking a rest. Only walked like 50 miles
And fifty miles isn't all that easy even on a bicycle. It would take less time but it isn't exactly easy unless you're a seasoned cyclist.

Well 513 is the area code for the Cincinnati area of Ohio and he was wearing a Cleveland Indians hat. Though honestly if he was from Cinci he SHOULD be a Reds fan... Ok I'll keep my baseball out of this LOL

There is an update in which he claims that the average human walks 7 miles per hour. That is false, though. The average human walks about half that speed.
Anyway if the map is acurate and he started in Derry NH and posted his that update when he reached Nashua then he actually would have only walked about 12 miles.

Can't get on FB here @ work, so I appreciate the updates, Vapor. That said, unless you commented as such on one of his blogs, he may be reading along here...

Congrats to AzureWolf !! I had NO clue ....
I've read his blog and Facebook and also tracked down his URU stuff, which I guess some of you know him from.
I wish him all the luck in the world on his travels ... if ever in NW C. FL he is welcomed here. Or .... there are many places of good DD here.

So apparently the Road Man has hit "Florida?" and Albany, NY.
All the pics with 'Dead Pixels' have been of him or generic fast food locations, with the exception of the "Florida?" treeline pic, which could be taken of anywhere...
The Nashua Town Hall, the road signs, none have the dead pixels. This means at the minimum that they were taken with different devices, but the differences in size and resolution lead me to believe that he's snagging them from elsewhere.
So far, I think that our buddy isn't really going anywhere IRL.
If that is true, then this is all a game, and we should find it. If not, then this isn't really a trailhead...
