 		Thanks, _A_H_ and others--I played it and also lost the 2 1/3 masters connection points I had...boo! I haven't seen the Ivied Wall card yet (though I have gotten the card that removes your masters connection twice already). And I haven't gotten the card about selling your soul yet, either, though 1000 nevercold brass seems like a pretty stingy offer to me. Wink

In any case, I'm glad there's a less painful way to move toward Seeking Mr Eaten 4--I was having visions of building a ton of libraryettes for Mr Pages!

@pokedigimaniac, I haven't found a better way to get Proscribed Texts than the "Reaping the academic benefits" storylet. It's a long slog!

 		Gaoler's Honey
Anyone on the Nemesis storyline sampled the Gaoler's Honey yet? It's sorely tempting but I'm reluctant to use it until I'm confidant it doesn't unlock anything else, especially without knowing what if anything tasting it will do.

I have! Figured what the heck, NEW CONTENT (of course, this also meant I whipped through all the new Nemesis stuff in like 20 minutes, but...), and if there's anything else I need it for, I'll probably have the opportunity to make more.

You get two options if you click on it, basically on your motives for using it: "Yes, I have good reasons," and "Yes, sounds like fun"; I chose the first, so I don't know whether the other one would have a different effect. In any case it took me to The Chambers of the Heart, a brand-new area similar to Royal Bethlehem, death, the Tomb-Colonies, etc. You can leave once you've acquired the quality "One who has Indulged in Unknown Pleasures," apparently, which I got from the one available storylet, although opportunity cards (of which there aren't many yet) increase the quality. I...guess that'll be relevant to the next segment of Nemesis?

 		Also, could someone explain the Seeking Mr Eaten's Name thing? I'm only up to 2 in that (same for Connected: The Masters, I think), but I haven't had any cards that have advanced it in quite a while. I can advance my Unaccountably Peckish easily enough, but that was only relevant to getting Seeking Mr Eaten's name, not to progressing in it, so...not sure what to do or what I should/shouldn't be looking for.

Ah yes. Hmm, that is a prerequisite for something I dipped into yesterday. On the Nemesis storyline I think, but I can't remember what it was. I was wondering where it would come from. Thanks!

If you've already been to the forgotten quarter and done what needs to be done there, then you just have to wait for a card. You'll recieve a letter from Mr Iron (possibly you need a certain amount of Connected: Masters - unsure) with a single option, tear up the letter. Doing so advances SMEN but at the cost of your Connected: Masters trait. I had in the region of 2-3 points and lost all of it. Use with caution.

I had the exact same idea about Mrs. Plenty's, but I actually DID manage to get to Connected: Masters 3, and I was VERY disappointed by the storylet there. It is both a Connected: Masters challenge and a Luck challenge. it is impossible to raise Connected: Masters there. If you succeed, you get items that aren't even worth it if you're far enough in the game, and if you fail both (it's Low Risk at C:M 3, and it's a 50% luck challenge), you actually LOSE one point in C:M. Here, I'll look for the exact text of the complete victory at this storylet, I put it in a note on my facebook for archiving purposes....

The complete loss was a meeting with Mr. Iron, who found me annoying. Unfortunately, I never saw what a half-loss would be, as the complete loss took me from C:M 3 to C:M 2 and 2/3.

As for the selling your soul thing, I had Persuasive 104, and that was straightforward. So it's not that hard to do. I like my very own infernal contract ;3

I haven't run into an ivied wall at all, but thanks for info on that and on the bag a legend contact, _A_H_!

Anyway, Malgrim, that guy above CLEARLY hasn't done the Forgotten Quarter stuff yet, as that's what gets you from 2 to 3, and he said he's at 2. So you only needed to tell him about that part.

1) Actually I'm a girl. My character on EBZ is male because I didn't really know what I was doing when I started, but you can kind of tell from my Twitter? (Which, okay, wasn't listed in that particular post. Still.)

2) I'm also not sure what's meant by the Forgotten Quarter stuff, because I've reached the content cap there (as well as everywhere else). I've done all the available storylets on the Correspondence, as well as any related opportunity cards that have come up (although I haven't seen many). I haven't seen anything that relates that storyline to Seeking Mr Eaten's Name, though, aside from the image used; I think the last one I got for that, at least a couple times, was the "randomly writing the Correspondence in a cafe and then the letters burst into flames, oops" and...nothing since. That was a while ago, actually. Unaccountably Peckish is at 4, though (just dropped it from 5); does it make some kind of problem with Seeking Mr Eaten's Name if Unaccountably Peckish goes too high?

There's an option under 'Hunting for curios' which requires various things.

Scholar of the Correspondence 1, Unaccountably Peckish 1, Nightmares 5, seeking Mr Eaten's Name 2.

That I believe is where you need to go next. And no, increasing UP should have no impact on the matter.

 		@HikaruYami - THANKS for posting about the Masters thingy in the Carnival--disappointing that you can't raise your Connected: Masters there, but it makes it less annoying that you have to lose all of it to continue Seeking Mr Eaten's Name.

 		Ah, okay. I'd totally forgotten about that. And I'm seeing the card where I can tear up Mr Iron's note now. Man...I'd really rather not lose my C:M even if it doesn't do much for me...there isn't anything else you can do to increase Seeking Mr Eaten's Name?

 		Something interesting I noticed about the masters (feel free to tell me if this has already been explored). Both Mr. Cups and Mr. Mirrors have in their bio "the frangible and the fine". It's been mentioned that sometimes a master will change its name or use different names. This lead to an interesting exchange with Mr. Cups:
