[Trivial? Spec?] What happens when the Queen finds out? Okay so I was over in this thread about why can't we find outbound files that we haven't unlocked yet if the SP can just give us clues to "hidden" files. (Which is actually an interesting topic if you ask me.) And something occurred to me...
If the "Candidate" files were being held back by Melissa for later (presumably, after we convince her we are her crew... By, maybe, hitting the 777 goal...) What will happen when that later time comes along and she goes to set those up for unlocking?
Will she even notice? How will she react if she does notice?
Will it tip her off to the fact that the SP and the people whom she believes to be her crew have been communicating and helping each other? And if so, what will that do to the trust we've managed to earn by answering all these razza-frazin phones?
What, if anything, should we do about it?

Remember how the queen was pre-SPDR operation?

Before the SPDR operated on her, she was "dead", non-functional.
During the operation, she was angry and bitter... (Wouldn't you be if you were awake while somebody operated on you?)

No... Don't you remember her when she was recalling her childhood memories on the beach? etc. etc.?

I don't really see what that's got to do with the major wobbly she's going to throw when she realises what the Princess has done. Perhaps you should elaborate more?

Those were memories that came up as she was being operated on. Or so I thought.
But, as Sherpa has asked herself, I don't see what that has to do with how the queen will react if she discovers our relationship with the Sleeping Princess.

I've posted this elsewhere, but it's on-topic here, too...[spec]we're assuming here that getting 777 will engendre trust. It was supposed to, but now...

SPEC - Maybe she already knows. I'm having trouble getting the killer.jpg images now as mentioned in this thread . Maybe the Queen has put a stop to that outlet of information.

Re: [Trivial? Spec?] What happens when the Queen finds out? You know what troubled me the most about Tuesday's update? (Caveat: I still agree that this was the best update so far. Yay, puzzle! Yay, PMs!) The fact that Melissa has now seen the Sleeping Princess , but apparently decided not to mention it. I was really expecting something about it in her monologue on ILB, since I think this would have been the first time Melissa realized that anyone else was in there with her...particularly someone whom she herself locked away (if she remembers that). And yet, nothing. Very peculiar.

hmmm.... well, in the Queen's defense, she hasn't been herself since the Flea started giving her "suggestions"

It is a little odd, but at the same time, she is busily trying to repair herself, and coordinate all these axons ... she's pretty busy calling payphones. She might not have enough resources to attempt any sort of thought process about the Wakeful Princess, or exact any retribution.
But it is interesting to think about. The only indication, it occurs to me now, is that the Princess has told us the Queen is getting "suspicious," but she never says of whom . The Princess seems to know quite well she's skating on thin ice, and she might've been hinting to us that it's just gotten thinner.

The Princess says - to us - that the Queen is "Suspicious Of You". Presumably that means us
Though the Princess may have just picked up on some general paranoia and assumed it was about us... I guess...

I'm relating her finding out with her warning on the index page... creepy.
Also, though, to Shad0, the flea has been spotted before (remember when she wanted to be a fluff of cotton going bump, bump, bump down the stairs? that was the queen chasing her...) So I'm pretty sure the queen knows and has known.
I think the imperative is that the Queen cannot CATCH the SP, or then we've got a problem. Back into the sealed casket or worse...

Thank you, HHM!! I thought so too when I posted it, but apparently not too many others did as it didn't receive much feedback.

Here's my guess: the only thing I can come up with is that she MUST notice. If aliendial is right (in that other post), then SP put the files into the /outbound directory for us, NOT Melissa. So when Melissa goes to put the files in the /outbound directory and they're already there... how can she NOT notice??
But what will happen? She'll probably stop trying to contact us. And probably start tracking down the Princess more vigorously. And if Melissa catches the Princess, we've lost our only interactive communications link.
All in all, that doesn't sound good.
In fact, I'm not sure if we can avoid it. Maybe we should concentrate on "shoring up" SP's defenses now while Melissa is only suspicious. Once Melissa finds out, time may be short.
HOW do we do that? I have no freaking idea.
