RP Registration is very frustrating and unpredicatble.
I don't want to create a new recruitment registration. I've tried all variants of my names and postal code. I didn't get a snapshot of specifically what I put on the coupon. That shouldn't be required. It shouldn't be case sensitive, and it should make sense by what you would have sent in.
eg, I hope that "thebruce" was not officially broken into "The Bruce" as was written on my response letter. I wrote it as I meant it.
And ya, no response from info@ yet...
I still can't get in ...
I have a copy of what I sent.
It's nearly EXACTLY what they "hand wrote" on their reply letter.
I thought it was a scan of what I wrote, until I compared the two.
My "RAS" was all upper case.
There's was upper and lower.
(Try typing "CMDR : Ras " and see what happens!)
I sent them an e-mail and I re-registered under ... duh ... "cmdrras".
(The "New" applicant form doesn't even allow "spaces", nevermind colons, hyphens or periods!
SUX!
On a side note ... If you leave your Astronaut name as just a space, without any other input, you get this message:
And it just hangs there, and never changes.
I'm thinking ... as we have been "posting publicly" we may have hung ourselves out to dry?
ha ha

Ahaha...just got in! I just didn't know that I had to put my middle initial along side my first name.
But hooray for early applicants! -listens to RP jingle-

Who knew when this started that we'd have to take steps approaching legally changing our names to comply with the PM!
And with their RP site terms of use prohibiting:
"...(d) using the Site or its servers to send unsolicited e-mail, including, without limitation, promotions, or advertisements for" [blah, blah, blah]
it makes me wonder, since no one (apparently) has received an e-mail from their "info dept.", if even e-mailing a query will bring down the wrath of yon PM.
I mean before, we were actually getting a response (even though it was automated) when we e-mailed Cap'n Coop.
Hopefully the "info" team will beam aboard their Mothership soon and we'll actually get a response!

That's good to know... Hmmm, I sure I'm not the only one who'll end up with mini astronaut fleet from the "few" attempts at registering and getting a tad impatient

They emailed me as well but did not understand my questions so I resent it. I doubt I'll get another response that's helpful but it's worth a try.

Ronald,
Rocket Poppeteers acknowledges your request and has addressed the issue.
You should now be able to successfully enter your Astronaut Name with the colon.
Please let us know if you have any other problems with your application. You will be notified via email as soon as your application has been accepted.
ROCKET POPPETEERS
I still can't seem to get in.
BUT, if you leave the application page open for a few minutes, you get a command signal!

I cleared my cache (iMAC/Intel ... Mozilla).
Then, I tried a various assortment of upper and lower case (moving "spaces" around, too).
Your "real" name should all be in upper case; your "Astronaut Name" needs to be typed in correctly.
Now I need to change my sig?
