lol, good idea explaining that. I'm an ex-USAF pilot, and that stuff comes so naturally I didn't even think it might need explaining.

SITREP = Situation Report, basically requesting the status of the situation

And the more obvious ones are:

ETA = Estimated Time of Arrival

Over = End of Transmission

Copy = Understood

Groom Lake One = The transport vehicle ("One" is the Vehicle designator and "Groom Lake" is the location it came from)

When they refer to Groom Lake "One" it could imply that there are other transports leaving the same location as they would be designated as Groom Lake Two, Three, etc.

Edit: Lol, when I saw the question mark I thought you were wondering what SITREP meant. My apologies.

oh lol yeah I know what all the acronyms were, just posting the similarties

I don't know the meaning of it...

but the scroll says to go to http://www.twitpic.com/27fy13

it mentions going there and singing the rocket poppeteers them song to get a special prize....

This picture must be in game right?...The blue writing on the scroll below the blast button shows previous tweets made by Rocket Poppeteers and like people briefly stated before one of the webpages it mentions is http://www.twitpic.com/27yf13 along with http://www.twitpic.com/27y672 which shows the rocket poppeteers truck during the Comic Con...

But what about http://www.twitpic.com/27yf13?...Could it of been a typo made by the PMs? Or is there something in that picture that is relevant?

I had problems using I.E. on my work computer.
But, I've had no problems with FireFox.

Also ...

You're saying I'm wrong?

Partly wrong, RP made a typo and that pic is OOG.

No wrongs or rights.

Nope ... You are not wrong.

I saw the picture while reading through the thread, and thought ... "WTF?!"

I came to the end of the tread, and thought it was funny that the comment under the picture says she needs to work on her computer Confused

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway ... I'm wondering why I've gotten an email response from info[splatt]rp, concerning my colon ( : ) ... no pun intended ... OK, pun intended
... But, none of us have heard back from RP Command Base concerning our Application Status.

The site says we are "in" ... but, wait, er ... nature's calling!

As for the Morse, looking at the sound file's spectrogram shows just how much is floating around in there.

Fish Rock

Hello Everyone

When the mission first loads on Rocket Poppeteers, right after blast off coop appears flying from the bottom.

Notice the first rock that flys by and how mych it resembles a ceolecanth. Its a little wierd.

Not so much upon screen capture. This is the first one, goes from right to left. The next rock is actually 3 separate rocks. They fly by at regular intervals:

That's why the spectogram is useless in this circumstance and either ear or wave form better. CNVEXP file was clearly not morse, this definitely is. Question is how is it significant? I suspect (or hope) time will tell....

I've been wondering about these and the Saturn connection. It could be they are small satellites or Trojan Moons. Saturn has loads of cool things like multiminimoons orbiting moons orbiting Saturn, for example Pandora, Hyperion, Calypso & Telyesto. I have been wondering for a while about the title "super8" and any mythological connection (you know, 12 Titans, 48 Giants etc.,), or if its a sideways reference to Coop's patches (8 days or bust)... This is starting to feel like the 23 enigma!!

Radar Screen

Dont think this has been mentioned yet. Not sure if it's significant. There is a radar screen on the bottom panel of the cockpit. I see a blip at about 10 o'clock. Should we be seeing something? Cant add a screenshot Sad

Vostok

Hi everybody. My first post here but i've been reading through all the posts since the trailer.

I wonder why no one noticed that (i've read all 6 pages and searched for it)

On the "legacy screen" there is a spaceship passing by and it is obviously Vostok 1 - the Jurij Gagarins ship . Since the whole popeteers thing is so pro-american - why they used russian spaceship there ? or is it red cozmo?
